The 2022 Rivian R1T Launch Edition is the quickest truck on the market
The 2022 Rivian R1T Launch Edition is insanely quick. It can go from 0-60 miles per hour in about 3.2 seconds. The R1T Launch Edition makes 835 horsepower. It produces 908 lb-ft of torque.
Launching the 2022 Rivian R1T Launch Edition gives drivers butterflies in the best way possible. The R1T Launch Edition can travel for 314 miles before needing to recharge. Its driving range isn’t as impressive as its amazing speed. The electric truck can hit 60 miles per hour about 0.5 seconds quicker than the Ram 1500 TRX and its Hellcat Engine.
The R1T may be quick, but it isn’t the only game in town any longer. Even more competitors will arrive in the years to come.
The 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum provides serious power
The 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum is the final Lightning trim level. The F-150 Lightning Platinum makes 580 horsepower when equipped with the extended range battery pack. The electric pickup truck produces 775 lb-ft of torque.
The Drive claims that the F-150 Lightning Platinum can go from 0-60 miles per hour in just 4.4 seconds. The Lightning Platinum isn’t as quick as the Rivian R1T Launch Edition. It doesn’t have as much off-roading prowess either. Ford’s electric pickup truck specializes in utility.
The Ford F-150 Lightning features an enormous frunk that the Blue Oval dubbed the Mega Power Frunk. It has 14.1 cubic feet of cargo space and can hold up to 400 pounds. The electric F-150 also comes with several powerpoints in the frunk, bed, and cabin. The Lightning Platinum can even power a house in the event of a blackout for days.
Ford’s electric pickup can’t touch the R1T when it comes to performance, but it’s a better work truck because of its many work-centric standard features. The Chevy Silverado EV RST is another R1T Launch Edition rival.
The Chevy Silverado EV RST is shockingly quick
The 2024 Chevy Silverado EV RST makes 664 horsepower. It produces 780 lb-ft of torque. The impressive electric pickup truck is capable of traveling for 400 miles before needing to recharge.
According to Tom’s Guide, the Silverado EV RST goes from 0-60 miles per hour in about 4.5 seconds. GM CEO Mary Barra claims that the Silverado EV RST will be the best electric pickup truck.
