In 2017, Patrick Mahomes was Kansas City’s first-round draft pick. He didn’t get to play very much in his first year. But when he did play, the Chiefs knew that he was going to be their secret weapon to success. In 2018, the Chiefs traded their starting quarterback and put Mahomes in his place.

In his first full year, Mahomes broke all kinds of NFL records. In his first game of the new season, Mahomes threw for 256 yards and completed four touchdown passes. Throughout the season, he continued to impress his coaches. By his second game, he had already broken the record for the most touchdown passes made by a player in the first three games. By the end of his first full season as starting quarterback, he had thrown over 5,000 yards and made 50 touchdown passes.

The only other player to ever accomplish that same feat in the NFL was Peyton Manning. However, even the iconic Peyton Manning wasn’t able to do that in his first season as a starter. Patrick Mahomes’ impressive athletic abilities are causing football fans from all over the country to take notice of him. There is even a breakfast cereal that is selling online for over $100 only because it has his name on it. No other NFL player in history has ever reached this type of recognition so early in his career.

The 2019 Genesis G70

Created in 2015, the Genesis brand had one goal in mind: To manufacturer an impressive line of luxury cars. So far, the new Hyundai sibling brand reached its goal. This statement is especially true when you consider its newest creation, the G70.  The 2019 Genesis has a sporty yet sophisticated exterior. It also features high-class interior features, such as premium upholstery, to give you and your passengers a luxurious ride. The car features the latest technological advancements. Its wide range of high-tech features provides an added level of safety and comfort for all occupants of the car.

The G70 is not only a pleasure to look at, but it is also fun to drive. Under the hood, Genesis has provided two different engine options. The first option is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine which produces 252 hp. The 8-speed automatic transmission helps to give the driver a more smooth and precise driving experience. The other option is an impressive 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. When you pair this engine to the available manual transmission, you get a breathtaking 365 hp. The V6 engine is capable of going from 0 to 60 in 4.7 seconds.

What do Patrick Mahomes and the 2019 Genesis G70 have in common?

Just like Mahomes, the Genesis brand is a new player in this game. Even though Mahomes was a rookie, he wasted no time in making his way to the top. The same can be said for the Genesis G70. Even though this car has only been out on the market for a few months, it has already made a name for itself. In Mahomes’ first full season of playing, he became the Pro Bowl’s offensive player of the year. In the G70’s first full year on the market, it became the 2019 North American Car of the Year. It seems very fitting that one of the most impressive new NFL players would receive one of the most impressive new luxury cars as a prize.
