Toyota Just Dropped a Whole Slew of Cool New Cars

Toyota is never short on cool cars and now there is a fresh batch to choose from.

Toyota is one of the coolest car companies in history. The legacy company built everything from top-tier pickup trucks to JDM racing legends. After the 2022 Toyota Tundra redesign, many Toyota fans seem pretty satisfied. However, until this batch of new cars, I didn’t realize how badly we needed more sporty Toyotas. Well, we are in luck now. Toyota just dropped a whole slew of cool new cars.

What are the new cars from Toyota?

Toyota has been hard at work over the past few years. We mentioned the new Tundra, but many more new Toyota models are coming down the pipe. Over the last few days, Toyota announced an incredibly cool new retro-styled 4Runner, a new Lexus RX, and even some fun news about the new engine for the 2023 Toyota Highlander.

But even with all those new car models, Toyota released even more new offerings. Some of them are even proper sports cars.

Is the Toyota GR Corolla coming to America?

The Toyota GR Corolla isn’t exactly new, but the Morizo Edition sure is. After countless pagan rituals, seances, prayers, and conjurings, American car nerds finally get to a Toyota GR car. Even more exciting is this new Morizo Edition.

The Morizo Edition is a track-focused version of the super hot little hatch, according to Gear Patrol. Toyota is only making 200 examples of the super-hot Corolla. Not only did Toyota give the GR Corolla 300 hp, but the Morizo Edition is also 100 lbs lighter and has 22 lb-ft of torque more than the other trims.

The GR Corolla ME comes with wider Michelin Pilot Cup Sport 2 tires, monotube shocks, and a unique suspension tuning for enhanced performance to handle this extra power. It also gets a unique Ultrasuede interior.

The Toyota GR Corolla Morizo Editon pricing isn’t public yet. Toyota says that we should see the hatchback sometime in 2023.

Is there going to be a 2023 Toyota GR86?

For 2023, Toyota brings a special edition GR86 that comes in the loud, exclusive Solar Shift orange accented by a low, black spoiler. Although this Special Edition GR86 didn’t catch a turbocharger, Toyota instead gave it the GR cat-back exhaust.

The 2023 GR86 Special Edition will be limited to only 860 models.

Will there be a 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid?

The Toyota Corolla Cross debuted last year. At the time, Toyota hinted at a hybrid version possibly coming later. Well, later is now. Toyota just announced the 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid.

The new hybrid Toyota crossover fixes the two major problems with the plain Corolla cross. Toyota upped the power to 194 hp and made it more fuel-efficient – 37 mpg combined, in fact. Also, the hybrid model will only come in AWD.

Is Toyota a good car company?

Toyota is one of the best carmakers the world has ever known. The Japanese car company revolutionized literally every aspect of the car market. It’s nice to see Toyota tapping into its racing roots. Cars like the GR Corolla and the GR86 lean heavily on a legacy of speed and toughness.

Finally, it feels like Toyota has awoken from a long sleep, and I can’t wait to see what it does next.
