The New Ford Bronco Might Be Disappointing

A lot is riding on the 2021 Ford Bronco. It’s carrying one massive saddle because it could be the most significant auto reveal in years. But, will the new Ford Bronco be a letdown? A lot is riding on the 2021 Ford Bronco. It’s carrying one massive saddle because it could be the most significant auto reveal in years. But, will the new Ford Bronco be a letdown? Other automakers have tried reviving classic SUVs and failed. For example, no one is happy about the new Chevy Blazer. Will Ford mess up the Bronco too?

Will the New Ford Bronco Let Us Down?

2020 has been a wild year. Jeep has been trying to sell their truck and Ford as get more into building off-roaders like the Ford Raptor, and with the long-awaited Ford Bronco, which we will finally see next week.

Only, is the 2021 Ford Bronco worth waiting for? Hopefully, but it depends on if Ford learned from the mistakes of their rivals. For example, the Chevy Blazer was transformed from a muscular off-roader into a pavement princess.

Also, have you seen the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer? Instead of being a large, powerful SUV, it’s returning as a cheap, compact SUV. It looks like the wind could blow it over. With these iconic model names, we want them to live up to their title instead of coming back as something that’s super cute to get groceries in.

The Jeep Gladiator let fans down too. Sure, it’s a magnificent beast for off-roading, but it struggles against the Toyota Tacoma TRD pro because it has a larger wheelbase. Its massive size makes it challenging to maneuver on trails. Why isn’t there a two-door Jeep truck like the Jeep Apache? Instead of the Gladiator, fans want the classic.

What we know about the Ford Bronco

The Ford Bronco will be released on July 13th, giving us a little over a week to speculate on what we know so far. And so far, it seems like one tough thoroughbred. It has a body on frame build, making it able to face the toughest terrains.

It will also have a solid rear axle and an ‘air roof.’ So, we can speculate that it will either have multiple sunroofs or be able to go totally topless. Maybe it will have a retractable soft top, like the Jeep Gladiator.

If the doors can come off, rumors have hinted that the Ford Bronco will have telescopic beams that will project passengers. This would make the Bronco safer than the Jeep Wrangler.

Also, leaked images have shown a larger four-door model, with a smaller option known as the Ford Bronco Sport or Baby Bronco. It looks like the size of the Jeep Renegade.

But what about a two-door variant? Spy shots captured a camouflaged Bronco that seemed too small to have four-doors. But that means three different Ford Bronco models would have to come out. It is 2020, so anything can happen. The two-door Ford Bronco would please a lot of fans wanting to return to the classic Bronco.

Ford Bronco Power

Rumors suggest that the Ford Bronco will be fast. We may have a triple crown winner on our hands. The Wolftrak could be the new off-roading model that offers a high-performance, like the Ford Raptor. Best of all, the Wolftrak Ford Bronco could come with a V8 engine.

Other rumors hint that the 2.3-liter Ford EcoBoost engine that provides 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque will make its way from the Ford Ranger to the Bronco. However, what about a hybrid powertrain? Doesn’t Ford have hybrid parts around because of the Mustang Mach E and new hybrid F-150? We will have to wait to learn more.
