Buick has been one of General Motor’s luxury line of vehicles since 1908 and is still going strong today with cars like the Regal and SUVs like the Encore, Enclave, and Envision. There have been many other models in Buick’s lineup in the past, a lot of which gained a lot of popularity. However, the more popular the vehicle the more complaints there are likely to be filed. And when owners have complaints, they list them on Carcomplaints.com. Here are the Buick cars with the most complaints.

Buick LeSabre

The Buick LeSabre was a car that had got its start in the 60s and was finally discontinued in 2005. The car spanned eight generations and was easily one of the brand’s longest-lasting vehicles, which is fitting considering it currently has 655 complaints on Car Complaints. The site lists the 2002 model year as the worst year, although the 2001 model year has the most complaints overall.

The largest complaint filed for both model years is for issues with the window regulators. Owners have said that they needed to replace the regulators multiple times during their ownership, with some of them saying that it costs around $500 per window to fix the issue.

Buick LaCrosse

The LaCrosse was Buick’s mid-size sedan offering that was in the lineup from 2005 all the up until last year. Although it’s no longer in the lineup, it did gain some popularity as is evident in the 323 complaints filed on Car Complaints. The site lists the 2011 model year as the worst year to buy, however, the 2010 model year has racked up the most complaints overall.

For the LaCrosse, the most common issue listed is for the check engine light coming. According to Car Complaints, the average repair cost for the issue is $6,580, but that’s mainly due to one owner listing that they needed the complete engine block replaced. Other owners have cited the need to merely change the spark plugs or clean out carbon build-up.

The Buick Regal is one of the brand’s mid-size sedans that has been in the market since the early ’70s. It’s still around today and offers buyers an upscale feel with a slightly sporty touch. Its popularity has seemingly held steady through the years as there are 286 complaints filed on Car Complaints for it. The site lists the 2012 model year as the worst one, however, the 2011 model year easily has the most complaints filed.

The 2007 model year is listed as the worst model year, however, the 2008 model year racked up the most complaints. Buick Car Complaints

It’s important to remember that the number of complaints filed for these cars is not based on percentages, instead, they are the sheer number of complaints filed for each car during the time it was in production. As the popularity of each car differs, so does the number of complaints. It’s also worth noting that just because a car has more complaints than another, it doesn’t mean that it is less reliable, as the more units sold will likely lead to more complaints filed.
