Next year is the 60th anniversary of the legendary Ford Mustang. Ford and many other companies are making big plans to celebrate this milestone in automobile history. This is especially true for the company Brand New Muscle Car (BNMC), which may make a bit of history itself. That’s because it plans on making limited-edition brand-new classic Mustangs from the 1960s.

Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, manufacturer BNMC makes replacement body parts for a wide range of classic cars besides Mustangs, like early Camaros, Challengers, Chevy Novas, 1955 to 1957 Chevys, and many more. These stampings precisely replicate the original components and body panels, including completely assembled whole bodies to save rusted original Mustangs

How many 60th Anniversary classic Mustangs will be built?

“We want to honor America’s original pony car by building 60 all-new classic Mustang RestoMod continuation cars for the 60th anniversary in 2024,” says David W. Miller II, the founder of Brand New Muscle Car. “Classic style with modern performance. Best of both worlds. You design it and we build it. It’s an amazing experience.”

The plan is for BNMC to make a limited run of 60 restomod Mustangs in 2024 for its “60 Classic Mustang RestoMod Continuation Cars” series. Complete new metal bodies of 1964 to 1970 Mustang fastbacks and convertibles are already available. Customers will be able to choose a host of options from engines to colors and more to really personalize.

Buyers can choose between a gang of engine options. These include the 427 ci Windsor, 428 ci FE, 5.0-liter Coyote, or 7.3-liter Godzilla. They’ll also do an electric version using Tesla ReVolt components. And within these choices are horsepower ranges from 450 hp to over 1,000 hp. Of course, these are depending on how much you want to spend.

But the custom feature list includes more than engines. Customers can opt for a completely modern independent front suspension, rack and pinion steering, heat/cool HVAC systems, adjustable coil over shocks, and electronic fuel injection. Tire combinations, interior materials, pattern options, and even offering right-hand drive further fill out the list.

BNMC will debut the first 60th-anniversary Mustang with an actual live telecast of the buildup in 2024. From there, its first public showing will be at the 2024 SEMA Show in Las Vegas in November 2024. Then, the following January, it will go to the Barrett Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona.

BNMC already has licenses to build its reproduction Mustang components from Ford, so these become a continuation of the original vehicles. It is not clear, but is assumed that buyers can choose from the range of early Mustangs. That means the choice between the convertible or fastback 1964/1966, 1967/1968, or 1969/1970 iterations.
