The midsize Volvo S90 executive car is the Swedish luxury automaker’s largest sedan, positioned above the S60 and providing an alternative to the Mercedes E-Class, Audi A7, or Genesis G80. So, how much can car shoppers expect to pay for a new Volvo S90, from its entry-level guise to its decked-out top trim? Here’s how much a fully loaded 2024 Volvo S90 costs.

The 2024 Volvo S90 starts at $58,995 MSRP

The standard 2024 Volvo S90 — also featured with a plug-in hybrid variant — is available in two trims, Plus and Ultimate, with a base MSRP of $58,995. The only notable update for the 2024 model is an updated exterior paint palette.

Though a PHEV like the S90 Recharge variant exists, the standard S90 still utilizes a mild hybrid powertrain. The “B6” powertrain pairs a turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system for a total output of 295 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. All mild hybrid S90 models have an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Standard exterior features of the S90 include 19-inch wheels, a power tailgate, and a panoramic roof. The cabin is highlighted by leather upholstery, four-zone automatic climate control, a heated steering wheel, power rear doors and window sun curtains, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, ambient lighting, heated front and rear seats, and a rear seat armrest.

Standard connectivity includes a 9-inch touchscreen, navigation, Apple CarPlay, satellite radio, Google-connected services, and a 10-speaker sound system.

The S90 features a suite of driver aids. They include adaptive cruise control, forward and rear automatic braking, lane departure mitigation, an automatic lane-keep system, a road sign reader, a surround-view camera system, and parking sensors.

The S90 Ultimate starts at $64,545

The range-topping 2024 Volvo S90 Ultimate includes plenty of added luxe features over the Plus model with a starting price of $64,545.

The Ultimate’s upgrades include 20-inch wheels, Nappa leather upholstery, a crystal gear selector, a tailored dashboard, ventilated front seats, power seat cushion extensions, and side bolsters. Additionally, the Ultimate trim is fitted with a Harman Kardon sound system and a head-up display.

Options and accessories for the 2024 Volvo S90

Unlike most of its rivals, the 2024 Volvo S90 offers limited packages and options, keeping the paid price relatively close to the MSRP. All exterior paint hues and upholstery/trim choices are no-cost options, again setting the S90 apart from its competitors.

Plus models can be fitted with 20-inch, eight-spoke wheels or a Harman Kardon sound system for $800 each.

Buyers can increase the upscale amenities in the Ultimate model with the Lounge Package ($1,500), which includes a massage function for the front seats, ventilated rear seats, and a “luxury” rear armrest. The Ultimate model can also be fitted with an adaptive air suspension, which can maintain ride height automatically, for $1,200. A 19-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system is also available for $3,200.

With a limited number of optional extras, a fully loaded 2024 Volvo S90 costs $68,945 with a destination fee included. Meanwhile, a fully loaded Plus model rings in at $60,595 with destination.
