The Honda CR-V is one of the best-selling compact SUVs in the US (especially in New Jersey), and the 2024 model looks to continue that trend with a few new features and an additional trim level. The optional add-ons and accessories give the vehicle a variable price point. So, how much can interested car shoppers expect to pay for a fully loaded 2024 Honda CR-V?

The 2024 Honda CR-V LX is just like the 2023 model

Honda introduced the sixth-generation CR-V for the 2023 model year with a more spacious interior, new technology, and multiple gas and hybrid powertrains. As a result, the base model of the compact SUV has not been changed much from the previous iteration.

The 2024 Honda CR-V LX is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that releases 190 horsepower and fuel economy figures of 28 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. The compact SUV comes equipped with Econ, Normal, and Snow driving modes to provide tailored performance in different driving conditions.

Safety is at the center of the CR-V’s design. The new generation earned a Top Safety+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for good reason. The LX’s main feature is Honda Sensing, a collection of protective tools that includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane-departure mitigation. Adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, low-speed brake control, and many other safety features also come standard. However, despite the thoroughness, blind-spot monitors and rear cross-traffic detection are unavailable on the model’s base trim.

On the hardware side, the SUV features 17-inch steel wheels, LED side mirror turn indicators, and remote keyless entry. The interior has a 160-watt four-speaker stereo system and a 7-inch touchscreen display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.

The base LX trim costs $29,500. Standard with front-wheel drive (FWD), all-wheel drive (AWD) can be added to the vehicle for a mere $1,500.

The CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid brings many additional features

There are six overall trim levels for the 2024 Honda CR-V (including the new mid-tier hybrid Sport-L trim), and the highest level is the Sport Touring Hybrid. It has a hybrid powertrain that combines a two-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors for more power (204 horsepower) and efficiency (43 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway) than the LX. Additionally, AWD comes standard with this model.

The Sport Touring Hybrid has 19-inch alloy wheels, a 12-speaker premium Bose audio system, and an additional Sport setting drive mode.

On the feature side, it comes with Honda HD Digital Traffic to help drivers find the fastest routes, hands-free satellite navigation, and HondaLink subscription services, including remote engine starting and automatic emergency contact services in a serious accident. To top it all off, it also includes rain-sensing wipers and a heated steering wheel. The price of the Sport Touring Hybrid trim begins at $40,795, with the option of additional add-ons and packages.

A fully loaded Honda CR-V has a much higher price point than the base LX

There are many ways to customize your 2024 Honda CR-V.

Along with the four standard paint jobs, you can choose from four other colors (Platinum White Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, Still Night Pearl, and Urban Gray Pearl) for $455. Three tiers of protection packages are available for $323, $393, and $460. Still, the most expensive ones are the $1,395 HPD Package (which includes a tailgate spoiler, HPD emblem and decals, lower door trim accents, and fender flares) and the $1,555 Utility package (includes crossbars, running boards, a trailer hitch, a seat back protector, and a hands-free power tailgate attachment).

There are also 29 exterior accessories, some of which are included in the previous packages, but most are separate. A roof box for extra storage ($523), a roof basket ($394), and a tent ($408) come with the highest price tags.

Honda also offers 12 interior add-ons, most notably the interior door sill trim ($325), an illuminated cargo sill trim ($250), and an auto-dimming mirror with Homelink to connect to garage door openers and controlled lighting ($245). A $90 engine block heater is the sole electronic accessory.

If you add all the extra amenities to the compact SUV (and add the $1,295 destination fee), the total price for a fully loaded 2024 Honda CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid is $49,432, according to Honda‘s website.
