The Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz have recently revived the compact pickup truck segment, and the Blue Oval’s offering has proved wildly popular as the smallest and most affordable truck in the automaker’s lineup, positioned under the Ranger. So, with its focus on affordability, how much can shoppers expect to pay for a new Maverick both in its base guise and in its top trim with all available add-ons? Here’s how much a fully loaded 2024 Ford Maverick costs.

The 2024 Ford Maverick starts at $23,400

The 2024 Ford Maverick is available in three trims, the XL, XLT, and Lariat, with prices starting at $23,400 MSRP.

The Maverick lineup has been tweaked for the 2024 model year with an all-new base engine, a 2.0-liter EcoBoost delivering 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. This unit replaces the previously standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid powertrain delivering 191 hp. The hybrid powertrain is available on all models for an additional $1,500.

The turbo 2.0-liter pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while a continuously variable transmission is fitted to Maverick models with the hybrid engine. According to Edmunds, the EcoBoost engine requires 6.4 seconds to run from 0-60 mph, a full two seconds faster than the hybrid powertrain.

As standard, the Maverick features cloth seats, a manual six-way adjustable driver’s seat, LED headlights, manual-folding exterior mirrors, a black mesh grille, cruise control, and a manually adjustable tilt/telescoping urethane wrapped steering wheel. Other standard amenities include 17-inch wheels, power windows, an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a six-speaker audio system, and automatic forward emergency braking.

The 2024 Ford Maverick Lariat commands $34,855

The 2024 Ford Maverick can be had for an economy car price, but those wanting more than the XL’s rather spartan amenities can opt for the XLT or the range-topping Lariat, which starts at $34,855 MSRP.

The Lariat trim features interior upgrades like synthetic leather upholstery in Desert Brown or Black Onyx, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support and a six-way adjustable manual passenger seat, a rear armrest with cup holders, a vinyl-wrapped and heated steering wheel, a 6.5-inch driver’s display, and heated front seats. Exterior amenities include automatic headlights, heated mirrors, and LED headlamp accent lights.

Available packages and accessories for the 2024 Maverick

The Ford Maverick may be a relatively small pickup, but as a truck, it should come as no surprise it’s offered with a long list of optional packages and accessories.

As previously mentioned, buyers can opt for the hybrid powertrain for $1,500 and upgrade to all-wheel drive for $2,200. The XL model is available in several no-cost exterior paint hues, with Hot Pepper Red adding $495. Additional standard exterior paints are offered for the Lariat.

The aptly named 4K Tow Package ($795) requires all-wheel drive and doubles the Maverick’s towing capacity to 4,000 pounds. It includes a trailer brake controller, a hitch receiver with a seven-pin connection, and an upgraded cooling system. However, the tow package is not available with the hybrid powertrain option.

The 4K Tow Package is required for the $800 FX4 Off-Road Package, which includes front tow hooks, an upgraded suspension, hill descent control, skid plates, selectable drive modes, a four-pin connector, and other features.

The Tremor Off-Road Package ($3,495) ups the ante with a revised front bumper and improved approach angle, a fender vent, unique styling cues, an increased ride height, Ford’s Trail Control system, and all the other upgrades available in the FX4 package.

The XL and XLT models can also be fitted with the $650 Co-Pilot360 Package with blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and lane-keep monitoring and alert.

A sizeable list of accessories is also available. Some notable add-ons include splash guards ($180), a soft folding tonneau cover ($590) or a hard trifold unit ($1,180), a spray-in bedliner ($495), all-weather floor liners ($175), and a lockable console ($390).

A fully-loaded 2024 Ford Maverick Lariat with the hybrid engine, optional exterior paint, the $1,645 Black Appearance Package, a power moonroof ($995), the Smoker’s Package ($140) and a long list of all available, non-conflicting accessories rings in at $41,225.

A fully-loaded non-hybrid model with the advanced 4WD Package, Tremor Package, and all available add-ons and accessories commands $44,695.
