Aside from his hit movies, Keanu Reeves is also known as quite the motorcycle enthusiast. As an avid motorcycle enthusiast, Reeves has owned a Suzuki GS1100E, 1974 BMW 750, a 1984 Harley-Davidson Shovelhead, a Kawasaki KZ 900, and a Moto Guzzi.

However, regarding his four-wheel vehicles, Reeves only has one, the Porsche 911 black Carrera 4S. His loyalty to this particular vehicle is due to several motorcycle crashes that reminded him of their limits and his own. Let’s look at Reeves’s love affair with speed and his Porsche 911.

Keanu Reeves’s childhood dream was to become a nuclear physicist and a race car driver. He loved the sounds and shapes of the race cars as they whipped around the racetrack. He was inspired by the races he saw on television. Also, his sister dated a race car driver. As a result, he was treated to some high-speed fun through southern France.

Reeves often does his own stunts behind the wheel, thanks to his passion for speed. Although he never became a full-fledged race car driver as an adult, he can play one from time to time, which is the next best thing. Among his favorite types of sports cars, Reeves is faithful to one particular vehicle, the Porsche 911.

Reeves settled on the Porsche 911 after a few motorcycle crashes

Keanu Reeves has said that being in several motorcycle crashes has taught him the limitations of the machine as well as his limitations. This is one of the reasons that he chose the Porsche 911 as his signature vehicle. He has told Porsche, “I enjoy the fact that the car allows me to be fast and efficient. I have developed a bond with it.”

When Reeves begins filming in a new location, he will purchase a motorcycle and sell the bike after filming has ended. After filming Point Break and Speed, he decided to purchase a Porsche. He chose a black Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, the classic Type 993 model. He affectionately called it the “Sled” due to its speed and sleek look.

Unfortunately, the car was stolen, most likely because it was one of the last air-cooled engines produced by Porsche. Although Reeves seems to be a one-car guy, his love of motorcycles is not so monogamous.

Keanu Reeves starts his own motorcycle brand

Keanu Reeves teamed up with Gard Hollinger, a Los Angeles-based motorcycle customizer, to build a one-of-a-kind bike inspired by the Porsche 911. The idea was to take a classic design and make it suitable as a daily driver as well as for speed and performance. While Reeves was filming John Wick, Hollinger was busy building their first bike, the KRGT-1.

This bike was the beginning of what would become the Arch Motorcycle Company. The company is a collaboration between Reeves and Hollinger. Reeves says their motorcycles “always look beautiful and perform just as brilliantly.” Reeves says he modeled the bike after the Porsche character because he believes it has a timeless quality.

As one of Hollywood’s most popular action heroes, Reeves gets to drive some of the most exotic vehicles on the market. Reeves has also made a name for himself off-screen as a certified gearhead. With all the money that he makes, you might think that Reeves has a garage full of exotic cars. However, Reeves knows what he likes, and he chooses only a few vehicles for his personal collection.
