Buying a new car for a first-time driver can seem intimidating. There is a lot more to keep in mind than just what color you want and what features it has. While the price is usually a big factor in narrowing down vehicle options, and for a first-time driver, that budget is usually pretty low, there are plenty of reasons why Jeep Wranglers can be the best choice.

The Jeep Wrangler

Depending on what year of Jeep Wrangler you are looking at, you can find a lot of used options for an affordable price. Owners will also argue that they hold their value incredibly well, so you don’t have to be concerned with the mileage. As off-road-oriented vehicles, small things like scratches in the paint and dings don’t really detract from the car, which is designed to be rugged. For a new car owner that might not know how to properly wash their vehicle, or how often to wash it, this is a great choice that you won’t have to worry about getting ruined.

Inexpensive maintenance

The last thing a new driver needs to worry about is expensive maintenance and repair costs, and luckily for us, the Jeep Wrangler is pretty cheap to maintain. They are also new-mechanic friendly, so if you like to do DIY car maintenance like oil changes, this is a great option to learn on. Plus, when you break something, you won’t have to stress too much about a high bill from the mechanic.

They aren’t just inexpensive to maintain, either, they are also inexpensive to modify and customize. If you have a budding car enthusiast getting behind the wheel, this is a vehicle that they can love driving year after year, and learn to build and work on themselves without too much trouble.

They get a little beat up

New drivers aren’t always the best drivers, and there is no better car to beat up than the hardy Jeep Wrangler. While, of course, we don’t want our teen drivers to back into mailboxes or fire-hydrants, these vehicles hold up to damage a lot better. This is partially because they are designed to handle rough conditions like muddy trails and rocky side roads.

If you want a vehicle that can survive a first-time driver without needing expensive repairs and maintenance, the Jeep Wrangler might just be the perfect vehicle. While they aren’t the fastest or fanciest cars on the road, Jeep owners are always happy to brag about their cars, and they have quite the community of owners themselves.
