Did you know that the Kia Telluride has a twin? It’s the luxurious Hyundai Palisade. They’re fraternal, not identical, meaning they have similarities but don’t look exactly the same. But the 2025 Hyundai Palisade wants to get in on the Kia Telluride’s success and could borrow more of its features.

Will the 2025 Hyundai Palisade be redesigned?

Yes, the 2025 Hyundai Palisade is getting a total redesign and current spy photos show that it’s gaining a boxier shape, like its twin, the Kia Telluride.

A lot of Hyundai vehicles are getting boxier, including the new Hyundai Santa Fe, so the Palisade is following this recipe of success.

Look, to be plain honest, Americans love box-shaped vehicles. The Jeep Wrangler, Toyota 4Runner, and Ford F-150 are some of the most popular options and they’re shaped like boxes.

Maybe cats have hacked into our minds to see all the greatness boxes offer. Anyways, the new Palisade could have a wider and more confident stance to combine its luxury nature with rugged upgrades.

Also, one of the complaints about the Palisade involves its ‘controversial style’ that ‘might not be for everyone’. But people haven’t had complaints about the way the boxy Telluride looks.

If it borrows style from the rest of the lineup then the Palisade could gain full-width LED light bars like the Hyundai Kona.

Currently, the Palisade and Telluride both have a standard 3.8-liter V6 engine with 291 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. But clues indicate that the Palisade is finally going hybrid.

Rumors suggest that it will be offered with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid powertrain and a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 option. But let’s not forget about the Hyundai Santa Fe and its 1.6-liter hybrid engine with 232 hp and 271 lb-ft of torque.

The Palisade XRT may borrow from the Telluride X-Pro model too, which includes a suspension lift, 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, an off-road-oriented suspension tuning, an advanced traction control system, and an increased towing capacity from 5,000 to 5,500 lbs.

It looks like the new Palisade is currently being tested, so it could be production-ready soon. Stay tuned for more updates.
