The Cybertruck is all the rage for both car enthusiasts and general people who want to catch a glimpse of a brand new automotive feat. However, these vehicles are still out of reach for most people, thanks to the price. Luckily, car rentals are one way some people can get behind the wheel of the Tesla Cybertruck. The problem is that the cost to rent it for a day is far more than a car payment.

Car rentals are often cheap but not for the Tesla Cybertruck

The Tesla Cybertruck has been a part of the public discourse for several years. Now, people can actually buy it. However, it comes at a starting price of $60,990. Of course, this price gets significantly higher for people who want to experience the more extreme nature of the all-electric vehicle. Additionally, this is a vehicle that many would hesitate to use as a daily driver.

The solution to this is renting the Cybertruck from platforms like Turo, which is like the Airbnb of car rentals. Essentially, people interested in car rentals can find vehicles from local hosts for a specified amount of time. However, the drawback to renting the Tesla Cybertruck is that it costs around $1,000 per day to drive the massive stainless steel vehicle around.

There’s no way around the fact that this is a ridiculous amount of money. In fact, this is more than double what some people pay in a month for a car payment. However, for those who have the means and maybe don’t want to own the Cybertruck, it may not be such a bad deal.

Renting out your Tesla can be lucrative

Though it’s expensive, Cybertruck car rentals can be mutually beneficial. Of course, the person renting the Tesla gets to drive around this automotive wonder for the day without a long-term investment. However, the person loaning out their vehicle makes a pretty penny. According to Yahoo Finance, the owner gets to keep 60-85% of the rental fee, which can quickly add up.

Additionally, the renter is responsible for any damage to the vehicle. This means that renting out your Cybertruck should be a pretty safe practice from a financial point of view. The Tesla Cybertruck is a hot topic right now, which means that interest is high. Allowing strangers to drive around in a personal vehicle isn’t for everyone, but it could be a mutually beneficial endeavor in most regards.
