A new PHEV joins the BMW 7 Series lineup

One of the most prestigious BMW cars in the market is the 7 Series. For 2024, BMW upgrades this large luxury sedan with a new plug-in hybrid model: the 750e xDrive. The 2024 BMW i5 is brand new

The first all-electric version of the 5 Series hit BMW dealerships this year. This new i5 comes in two models: the eDrive40, an RWD sedan that produces 335 horsepower, and the M60, which sends 593 horsepower to all four wheels through two electric motors. The driving range figures are 295 miles and 256 miles, respectively. Using a DC fast charger, the 2024 BMW i5 can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 30 minutes.

What’s new for the BMW 5 Series?

You might think that BMW spent all of its time developing the i5 and would have left the 5 Series to wait another year, but that’s not the case. The 2024 BMW 5 Series begins a new generation for one of the most popular BMW cars. This new midsize luxury sedan is bigger than last year and adds revised hybrid powertrains to the mix.

The biggest change for the new 5 Series is the large, curved display with two screens across the dashboard. These screens are:

  • 12.3-inch configurable driver information display
  • 14.9-inch central infotainment touchscreen

There’s also a head-up display and the Driving Assistance Professional package to enable hands-free driving at speeds up to 85 mph.

The 2024 BMW Z4 gives drivers what they want

If you’ve lamented the lack of a manual transmission for the BMW Z4, you’ll be glad to see what the 2024 version brings to the table. The M40i model adds a six-speed manual transmission to the options menu, making it easier for drivers to feel more engaged with the road while driving. This Z4 model also has the aggressive rear axle from the M240i version, along with:

  • An improved suspension with stiffer anti-roll bars
  • Upgraded steering
  • Recalibrated adaptive dampers

These changes should make the Z4 more fun and active, which is what many drivers expect from BMW cars.
