Toyota Prius Prime is the best Toyota hybrid car to save money on gas

The Toyota Prius Prime is the best Toyota hybrid to save money on gas. As you can see, Toyota has many hybrid vehicles with high fuel economy, but the most efficient one of all is the Toyota Prius Prime. It gets an estimated gas mileage of up to 54 combined mpg (hybrid mode)/133 combined MPGe (electric mode).

The Prius Prime is similar to the standard Prius Hybrid, but with one notable exception. Unlike the Prius, the Prius Prime has a plug-in hybrid powertrain. With the plug-in hybrid system, the Prius Prime can drive with electric-only power for an estimated 25 miles. This is where that MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) figure comes to play and helps boost the gas mileage of the Prius Prime even higher than the Prius.

Also, a plug-in hybrid like the Prius Prime is a nice alternative for those that aren’t yet ready to go all-electric. While range anxiety is still a concern for many electric vehicles, this isn’t the case with a plug-in hybrid. When the electric-only power runs out, a plug-in hybrid like the Prius Prime can just switch to gas power.

Like the Prius Prime, the RAV4 Prime has a plug-in hybrid system, with an estimated electric-only range of 42 miles.

Also, along with delivering high gas mileage, the RAV4 Prime is very impressive on the performance front. Its plug-in hybrid system generates a total system output of 308 horsepower, which enables the crossover SUV to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds.
