Even though the automotive market is going through a bit of turmoil, there are still good deals on the best used cars. AutoTrader found some of the best deals on used cars that you can jump on without breaking the bank. The Kia telluride made the list, but some notable competitors like the Toyota Highlander, Honda CR-V, and Ford Mustang shouldn’t be overlooked.

The Kia Telluride topped AutoTrader’s best used cars list

AutoTrader compiled a list of some of the best used cars you can buy right now, and the 2020 – 2021 Kia Telluride was one of the newest cars on the list. While the Telluride hasn’t been around very long, it has made quite an impact during that short time. Not only is the three-row SUV loved by drivers, but critics have found very few faults.

The 2020 Telluride has a roomy interior and room for seven or eight passengers. The interior offers all of the newest technology, and the fuel economy is OK. For the price, a used Telluride can’t be beaten.

The Kia Telluride warranty is an industry-leading warranty that consists of 10-years and 1000,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper coverage. In addition to that, there is also a 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty for some vehicles. Kia also offers an excellent Certified Pre-Owned program that makes finding a used Kia Telluride pretty easy.

The Kia Telluride was in good company

The 2016-2020 Toyota Highlander also made the list of the used cars. Similar to the Telluride, the Highlander is a well-loved midsize three-row SUV. It has all-wheel drive, good fuel economy, and can tow up to 5,000 pounds. If you want even better fuel economy, the Highlander offers a hybrid option. Toyota vehicles are reliable and tend to run past 200,000 miles, so buying a used one is still a smart move.

Critics found the 2017-2020 Honda CR-V was a good buy as well. “Compact SUVs are popular for combining the efficiency and driveability of a compact car with the versatility of an SUV. The Honda CR-V is a consistent class leader in this competitive segment,” AutoTrader noted. The CR-V is roomy, reasonably priced, and has excellent fuel economy. It also comes in a hybrid option. If you are looking for a reliable SUV that won’t cost you a lot in the long run, a used Honda CR-V is a good pick.

Other options include the Ford Mustang and Jeep Wrangler

A bit different from the other options is the 2015-2020 Jeep Wrangler. The Wrangler is known for being a joy off-road and on, which only gets better with age. The SUV is offered as a two-door option or four-door and has a removable roof on some models for added fun. AutoTrader noted that a new generation of Jeep’s was introduced in 2018, adding to the plethora of available vehicles.

The sportiest option of all is probably the 2017-2020 Ford Mustang. While the new Ford Mustangs can get pretty expensive, buying a new one still gives you all the fun without the price tag. AutoTrader recommends the V8 GT model if you can find it, but the turbo EcoBoost model is a close second. Like the Kia Certified Pre-Owned program, the Ford Blue Advantage program is worth looking at to get a good deal on one of the used car options. A reasonably priced Ford Mustang? Sign us up.

So even if you don’t take home the Kia Telluride, there are plenty of other options. Some of the best used cars might not be on your list, but it isn’t too late to take a look. AutoTrader can help you find a local option or even find used cars in a neighboring area if you search by location.
