The 2019 Honda CR-V is a well-priced SUV that has many standard safety features. U.S. News ranked the CR-V number one on the Affordable Compact SUVs list, but that isn’t the only reason we think it is a reliable choice.

The Honda CR-V has room for five and gets around 25 miles per gallon in the city, 31 on the highway. It is offered in both a front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configuration. The SUV has a roomy cabin and room for cargo in the back, making it ready for any adventures you want to take.

The CR-V comes in a variety of trims. The CR-V LX is the base trim. The EX comes with a 7-inch touchscreen and has some upgraded safety features standard. These include driver attention monitor, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and road departure mitigation.

The CR-V EX-L model has upgraded leather seats and some other bits like a leather-wrapped steering wheel. It also comes with a power liftgate.

The CR-V Touring model is the top-of-the-line trim level. It has satellite navigation and a premium sound system. It also comes with rain-sensing windshield wipers.

Which year Toyota RAV4 is best?

The 2019 Toyota RAV4 gets an estimated 27 miles per gallon in the city and 34 on the highway. Kelley Blue Book gave the SUV a 4.9 out of five stars. Additionally, the company gave the RAV4 a five-star safety rating.

The RAV4 has room for five and an all-wheel-drive drivetrain. Apple CarPlay came standard in 2019 along with some new safety features. For whatever reason, Toyota did not include android Auto in the update for 2019.

The Toyota SUV was also offered in an Adventure trim for more off-road fun. The RAV4 is also offered in a hybrid version, plus an XSE trim.

Do awards determine the better choice?

U.S. News has all of the awards given to the 2019 Toyota RAV4. The RAV4 definitely made many lists, but we will only give you the best of the best. It came in fifth place for used compact SUVs $20k and up, and in seventh for most affordable compact SUVs.

Finally, RAV4 won the best new cars for teens and was a finalist for the best compact SUV for families.

As far as the 2019 Honda CR-V, U.S. News really enjoyed driving this SUV. It came in first on a variety of lists. Used compact SUVs $20K and up, used crossover SUVs $20K to $25K, and affordable compact SUVs. Finally, it came in first for affordable Crossover SUVs and affordable SUVs with two rows.
