Peter Corn

Peter Corn joined MotorBiscuit as an Autos Writer in 2020 and brings his quippiest Southern drawl to our table. Having, in his words, “helped” rebuild his dad’s 1959 MGA as a small child, Peter grew up loving vintage cars and trucks, adding motorcycles and all things 4×4 as he went.

Peter earned a Bachelor of Archeology and Creative Writing from the University of Alabama and has since melded his love of driving with storytelling. His voice, full of pleasantries and witticisms, can be enjoyed in The Gentleman Racer, The Vintagent, Gear Patrol, Iron & Air Magazine, and Classic Car Club Magazine.

Peter is a co-founder of both The Colloquial Magazine and The Fire Escape, the official podcast of The Colloquial. In an effort to increase his abilities in “ramping anything with wheels,” Peter has taken track training from Classic Car Club Manhattan and attended Rally School at Monticello Motor Club, where he was coached by eight-time Performance Rally motorsport champion Chris Duplessis.

On a lucky day, we get to hear Peter tell the story of his first car, a jewel of a 1958 Ford Fairlane, into which he dumped more time and money than made sense, but he has no regrets.

5 RV Brands to Avoid If You Want to Have a Good Time

The camper industry just saw a massive boom due to the onslaught of COVID-19. We were all confined to our homes for months on end. The only way to stay safe was to stay isolated, and that, of course, has its limitations both physically and physiologically. Then we all seemed to remember that RVs existed, …
2021 Roush Ford F-150 parked in a dark smokey room

Can The New V8 Ford Raptor Compete With the 2021 Roush Ford F-150?

I’ve said it before, and I will say it many more times, the world of pickup trucks is a strange and fascinating one full of strange pairings and collaborations that may not make sense logically, but these things live in the heart, not the mind. The pairing I am referring to is the muscle/performance truck …
Ukrainian MiG #8 that was destroyed in drunk driving accident

Drunk Driver Takes Out a Ukrainian MiG Fighter Jet With Volkswagen

Drunk driving is stupid, selfish, reckless, and obviously, very dangerous. As stupid as driving under the influence is, it rarely results in any sort of military involvement, and even rarer still, involving fighter jets. Well, one alleged drunk driver in Ukraine got tangled up with a MiG and literally scrambled the jet with his VW …
An RV driving down an empty road.

Living In Your RV Full-time Might Be More Dangerous Than You Think

As we continue to toil through this seemingly endless pandemic, people are getting more restless, and the need to get out and move is getting harder and harder to suppress. It seems RVs are the answer for many Americans who need to get on the move but want to keep themselves and others safe along …

Toyota Just Filed a Mysterious Trademark – Look Out Ford Bronco

Toyota isn’t really short on great off-roaders, but as we Biscuits have mentioned many times before, the Current Toyota 4×4 line is woefully dated. They are all too big, have old motors, and lack any real modern design or amenities than the modern crop of SUVs like the Ford Bronco, Land Rover Defender, and even …

$400,000 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Found Sitting in a Junkyard in Chicago

Junkyards are some of the most fun places in the world for car nerds. There is always a feeling of possibility in the rusty piles of former family vans and first cars. We know what is most likely there, yet there is still that little feeling of excitement to find some buried treasure. A couple …
red 1990 Miata with a LS Chevy Silverado motor swap

Ever Wanted a Chevy Silverado Shaped Like A Mazda Miata?

The Miata has long been the perfect sports car. These little Japanese zoomers have always been relatively affordable, reliable, and plentiful. That being the case, the Miata has also been the subject of many custom car builds, some of which have been downright silly, like putting a Hellcat engine in one. There is a new …
a pile of 250 stolen catalytic converters

This Stash of Stolen Catalytic Converters Costs More Than Most Supercars

Not only is car theft on the rise across the country, but certain bits and pieces of your car are more likely to be stolen these days as well. Many studies show the most stolen cars like the Dodge Charger (as one example) and the areas of the country where cars are the most likely …
The new SRX racing series just unveiled the cars they will use

Tony Stewart’s New Superstar NASCAR Series looks Nuts

NASCAR is massively popular but remains a fairly insular world. It may look a little silly to nonracing fans or even fans of other racing series; I get it. But, even if you don’t know racing at all, you have probably heard the name Tony Stewart. Well, he and fellow NASCAR big-shot Ray Evernham have …
The logo for Dodge Ram

What’s the Difference Between the Ram 1500 and the Ram 2500?

There is just something simple and right about listening to Robert Earl Keen and writing a piece about Ram trucks. I thought I would start by painting a tiny picture of the inside of my mind, dear reader; you know, to set the stage. Ram is one of the most commanding names in the truck …

Storied 1984 Porsche 911 Was a Man’s Home For Years and Now it Rides Again

The concept of a “dream car” is an interesting one. For many people, that means something super fancy and outrageously expensive, like a Ferrari F40 or a Bugatti Divo or some such. However, For others, this can mean something a bit deeper and more profound. The dream car is representative of something other than flashy …
