Since the Chevrolet Blazer returned in 2019, its reliability score has been on the rise. The 2022 Blazer received high scores on the road test and the area of predicted reliability. Plus, Consumer Reports recommends the SUV for the first time.

Only forward collision warning (FCW) and lane departure warning (LDW) are standard safety features. Blind-spot warning (BSW) and rear cross-traffic warning (RCTW) are optional. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the 2022 Chevy Blazer four and five-star ratings on its crashworthiness tests.

Ford Bronco Sport is another SUV with improved reliability for 2022

The Ford Bronco Sport hasn’t been around very long, but it is still improving. When it hit the market again in 2021, it impressed the experts at Consumer Reports. However, the newest Bronco Sport is one of the SUVs with improved reliability for 2022. It was ranked sixth out of 22 similar compact sport utility vehicles and had pretty high scores across the board.

Ford equipped the 2022 Bronco Sport with FCW, LDW, BSW, and RCTW as standard equipment. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) also gave it the Top Safety Pick Plus award for this year. With tons of different ways to customize the Bronco Sport, this Ford SUV will likely only get better with age.

The Honda Passport is always a good option for the midsize SUV category. It has been around for a long time but hasn’t consistently been rated by Consumer Reports. Since 2019, this reliable SUV has been working on reliability behind the scenes. The Passport received average marks in 2021 and more positive scores this year.

Honda equipped the 2022 Passport SUV with FCW, LDW, BSW, and RCTW. Lane keep assist (LKA) and lane centering assist (LCA) are also standard safety features. The IIHS didn’t give this Honda SUV an overall rating, but it had high scores in many of the crash tests.

Nissan Rogue Sport is another SUV with improved reliability

In the area of subcompact sport utility vehicles, the Nissan Rogue Sport came in second out of 15 similar options. Consumer Reports gave it high marks for the road test and the predicted reliability section. The 2022 Rogue Sport received positive reports from experts and owners alike.

FCW, LDW, BSW, and RCTW are standard. Automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and city speed braking are also included. The 2022 Rogue Sport didn’t win any safety awards but received good scores on the tests it participated in.

Price range: $24,960 – $31,090
