The Genesis G90 is the brand’s most luxurious model, and for 2023, it comes with a few updates. It has updated exterior styling touches, a new twin-turbo and supercharged engine, and a plethora of unsuspecting luxury features. We looked around the cabin of the Genesis G90 and found some of the most lavish features we have ever seen on a car. Here are five of them.

1. The 2023 Genesis G90’s rear seat area is a great place to work or nap

At first, the backseat area in the 2023 Genesis G90 looks like a normal rear seat, save for the large center console. However, when you sit back there and play around with the controls, it becomes apparent that this backseat has a ton to offer.

First, both of the outboard seats are heated and ventilated, and they have a massage function. Next, there’s a built-in ottoman for the passenger side so they can kick back, relax, and wait patiently as they are driven around. Of course, if that lucky passenger would rather take a nap or work, there are controls for the lights, sunshades, and power outlets for electronics to assist with that. Although the Genesis G90 provides a nice driving experience, it’s almost more fun to be driven in.

2. The Genesis G90’s supercharged engine provides plenty of power

Speaking of the Genesis G90’s driving experience, we found that the unique twin-turbo V6 engine provides plenty of power in addition to smooth operation. That smoothness is partly possible thanks in part to the engine setup’s 48-volt mild hybrid system and electric supercharger.

That’s right, this thing is twin-turbocharged and supercharged and puts out 409 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque. That’s enough to rocket this large sedan up to 60 mph from a stop in 5.1 seconds, according to Car and Driver’s testing.

3. The G90’s easy-close power doors are a lavish touch

When we first sat in the G90, we were blown away by the fact that the doors close by themselves when you step into the car. There are even buttons in the interior that you can push to close the doors if they don’t do it the first time. It’s completely unnecessary, but we love that Genesis put that feature in this car. Especially considering you normally find something like that in a Maybach that costs twice as much.

4. There are plenty of comfort features in the front seat area

The front seat area is almost as luxurious as the rear seat. Up front, you’ll find Nappa leather seats that are heated and ventilated, a heated steering wheel, and a massaging function for the driver and passenger. Genesis even included a fragrance diffuser that fills the space with a relaxing scent. Now that’s fancy.

5. The premium sound system is an audiophile’s dream

Lastly, if you’re an audiophile like us, you’ll love the Bang and Olufsen 3D premium sound system, which has 23 speakers and can simulate the sounds of a music hall. There’s even a “mood curator” function in the infotainment system, which plays different audio tracks and sets the cabin lighting to ease your mind or invigorate it.

Lavish features on the 2023 Genesis G90

The 2023 Genesis undoubtedly has a ton of features to offer, and it’s definitely one of the fanciest cars that we have ever had the pleasure of driving. These five features stood out to us the most, and if you ever have the chance to experience a G90 in person, we’re sure they’ll stand out to you too.
