The 2024 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 is a properly fast, taut sports coupe with an equally sporting pedigree. However, the Supra doesn’t have a monopoly on maniacal speed; many used cars will outsprint the Mk5 Supra without breaking the bank for a premium badge like Lamborghini or McLaren. It’s true; used vehicles like the 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 and 2018 Tesla Model 3 Performance will eagerly outrun the Toyota-BMW collaboration.

The 2024 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 from the Mk5 generation is quick regardless of transmission accompaniment. However, the eight-speed automatic 3.0L model is good for a brutal 3.7-second sprint to 60 mph. Still, even speed like that isn’t enough to out-dash these used cars.

0-60 mph timeFair used car value (KBB)
2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT5003.5 seconds$37,297
2018 Tesla Model 3 Performance3.2 seconds$31,922
2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat3.6 seconds$37,300
2018 Audi RS 33.5 seconds$43,170

The 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 on the S197 platform is one of the most potent Mustangs the Blue Oval ever produced. Moreover, the monstrous 662-horsepower supercharged 5.8L V8 is enough to power the GT500 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds on its way to a 200+ mph top speed.

Better yet? Its sole transmission option is a genuine six-speed manual gearbox. That’s right, while the latest S550 GT500 is automatic-only, its predecessor is an unhinged, three-pedal driver’s car. Furthermore, KBB says the 2013 Shelby GT500 has a fair purchase value of $37,297 with average mileage, around $17,203 less than a 2024 Toyota GR Supra 3.0.

What is the 2018 Model 3 Performance’s 1/4 mile time?

The 2018 Tesla Model 3 Performance lives up to its suffix: it’s the most launch-happy iteration of the baby Tesla. Specifically, the Model 3 Performance hit 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds on its way to an 11.8-second quarter mile, per MotorTrend.

Further, the Performance trim’s thrust is courtesy of a grippy dual-motor eAWD platform channeling an impressive 450 combined horsepower.

Is a used 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat quicker than a Mk5 Supra 3.0?

Upon its arrival, the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat shocked the muscle car segment with 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. While traction limitations led to many a scarred or annihilated set of tires during testing, some of the supercharged Hellcat’s best results showed a 0 to 60 mph sprint finished in just 3.6 seconds.

How much is a used 2018 Audi RS 3?

According to KBB, a used 2018 Audi RS 3 has an average value of $43,170 with average mileage. That’s a depreciation of nearly 27% and, as a result, a serious performance bargain.

The RS 3’s characteristic turbocharged five-cylinder engine, quick-shifting seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and AWD is enough to sling the Audi sedan to 60 in just 3.5 seconds. Consequently, the 2018 Audi RS 3 will outsprint the much newer 2024 Toyota GR Supra 3.0.
