What’s not to like about the newest Hyundai SUV in the lineup? This three-row sport utility vehicle comes with plenty of technology on all trim levels, but the 2023 Hyundai Palisade is also a safe option. There are plenty of reasons to like the Palisade; these are the top three.

The 2023 Hyundai Palisade is spacious and upscale

When Kelley Blue Book looked at the 2023 Hyundai Palisade, there wasn’t much to dislike. The inside of the Palisade is spacious and upscale, with seating for seven or eight passengers. Passengers in the second and third rows will have plenty of space, but neither of the spacious rows doesn’t compromise the cargo area.

The Palisade is a stylish and updated minivan competitor for those who regularly carry many passengers or family members. The Hyundai SUV received a refresh for 2023 after a recent major redesign, so the automaker isn’t resting on last year’s formula. Plus, new standard rear side-impact airbags help protect those passengers. A camera mirror and WiFi hotspot are optional if the standard equipment isn’t enough.

Other updates for this year include a new instrument panel and gauge cluster and a new steering wheel design. Captain’s chairs are available in the second row, which drops the overall seating but makes the third row more accessible. The third row even has optional heating in the seats, an unusual but appreciated prospect for those in colder climates.

Safety comes first on the 2023 Hyundai Palisade

The midsize SUV segment isn’t an easy one to stay ahead in. That’s why the 2023 Hyundai Palisade comes well-equipped with driver assistance features. Blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic avoidance, and forward collision avoidance are all standard. Hyundai also included systems like lane-following assist, lane-keeping assist, and driver attention warning.

All of this was enough for the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety to earn a Top Safety Pick Plus award. Even on the new crash avoidance and mitigation tests, along with the updated side test, the Palisade received the highest scores. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration doesn’t have an overall safety rating yet but has five-star scores on the performed tests.

While it isn’t a safety feature, Hyundai’s warranty is pretty good for protection. The basic warranty is five years or 60,000 miles, and the powertrain is the same for five years or 60,000 miles. A corrosion warranty protects for seven years and unlimited miles.

This Hyundai sport utility vehicle has one of the best resale values

The 2023 Hyundai Palisade also landed on Kelley Blue Book’s 2023 Best Resale Value award winners list. KBB found that the Palisade holds 59.7% of its value over the first five years of ownership. That landed it in the top 10 for all SUVs this year. That means others see the value in the Palisade even after a few years since it is so well equipped.

Drivers like the 2023 Hyundai Palisade for delivering on its promises and offering a safe and reliable transportation option. Even if the segment is packed with alternatives, the Palisade is an excellent option for drivers.
