Since SUVs are so popular these days, it makes sense there are some more expensive options from luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz, Bentley, and Maybach. These super luxury SUVs over $150,000 come from those brands, but basic sport utility vehicles need not apply.

When Edmunds picked the best super luxury SUVs, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz Maybach GLS came in first. As one might expect, the Maybach GLS has an exceptionally luxurious and quiet interior. Edmunds goes so far as to say that the 2022 Maybach is “opulent in both technology and luxury.” While it only offers two rows, the wheelbase is stretched to open up the cabin area. Mercedes upgraded the suspension for rear seat comfort since people might be getting driven as opposed to driving.

Mercedes and Maybach have figured out the perfect combination of luxury and performance, which the GLS is a shining example of. Plus, it seems like a reasonable price compared to some of the other options on the list.

MSRP range: $165,100

Bentley’s Bentayga is a super luxury SUV over $150,000

While the 2022 Bentley Bentayga has all of the quintessential SUV looks, it still stands out in the crowd. Bentley added all of the luxury one might expect, and it even has seating for up to seven passengers. Buyers can choose from a twin-turbo V8 or a twin-turbo V12, both of which offer plenty of power. A plug-in hybrid option has been available in the past and might be available for 2023, but it is on hold for this year.

Ordering the Bentayga through Bentley leaves an almost unlimited amount of ways to customize this super luxury SUV. From colors, interior details, wheel styles, and everything in between, buyers can select all the details. It won’t come cheap, but it will be something no one else has.

MSRP range: $193,400 – $259,400

You probably know of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class already

People love the 2022 Mercedes-Benz G-Class because it is flashy but also off-road capable. The powerful V8 engine is fast enough for most situations, and its boxy shape stands out in a crowd. That same boxy shape sometimes makes it a bit top-heavy, but Edmunds says the traction and stability control systems help keep it grounded.

While the MSRP starts under $150,000, most buyers won’t find one at that price. Dealerships have added a markup since many buyers are willing to pay extra. That’s the name of the super luxury SUV over $150,000 game.

MSRP range: $139,900 – $179,000

If any of these super luxury SUVs over $150,000 sound interesting, it is best to order straight from the dealership. You might be able to avoid the dealership markup in some cases, though that might not be a priority to some. Don’t forget the window tint!
