Regarding hidden gems, GoodCarBadCar says the 2022 Audi A4 sales numbers don’t match what this sedan offers. So what makes the A4 one of the best cars of 2022 that nobody bought? Edmunds says this Audi has a nice combination of performance and quality, especially for the cost.

Audi sold about 50,000 units in the A4’s heyday in the mid-2000s. Last year, it only sold 16,263 units. That is down 10% over 2020 even. With 27 mpg overall and as one of Edmunds’ top picks for compact luxury cars, shoppers may want to take a second look at the 2022 Audi A4.

If you haven’t seen the 2022 Toyota Avalon lately, you might want to. It won’t be coming back next year, and as one of the top large cars in all of Edmunds’ rankings, what’s not to like? The Avalon scores high in comfort and luxury and offers pretty good value compared to the competition. The Avalon comes with Toyota’s legendary reliability and an insane 42 mpg combined with the hybrid option.

Experts say the Avalon has a plush ride, responsive handling, and plenty of legroom throughout the cabin. Toyota included plenty of standard safety features like Lane Departure with Steering Assist to make the ride safer for everyone. The automaker only sold 18,280 units in 2021, and while it is in its final year of production, you might be able to find a good deal on one. For a more luxurious option, the Audi A6 fits the bill

The 2022 Audi A6 is one of the more expensive options on this list, starting at $55,900. Thanks to that cost, the A6 sits comfortably in the front of the pack of luxury midsize cars. In 2021, Audi only managed to sell 9,543 units of the A6. That number has slowly been dropping since 2014, when it sold almost 24,000 units.

Plus, the A6 returned 26 mpg overall in testing. If you want a luxury car with plenty of room, the 2022 Audi A6 fits the bill. Edmunds says the A6 blends excellent performance and technology effortlessly, and it doesn’t make sense why the sedan doesn’t have higher numbers.

The Chrysler 300 still has a powerful V8 engine

The 2022 Chrysler 300 has a low MSRP and .a powerful engine, but it still doesn’t seem to be enticing shoppers. Chrysler has only three cars in its lineup, and the 300 is the only sedan option left. The 300 sedan comes with a V8 that only gets about 20 mpg overall, but it makes up for it by being fun to drive. That helps it make the list of the best cars of 2022 that nobody bought.

Chrysler only sold 16,662 units in 2021. The writing is on the wall with the 300 as everyone looks toward efficient electric vehicles. Thanks to that, you might be able to walk away with a good deal on a 2022 Chrysler 300.
