GMC’s Yukon XL from 2020 is a large used SUV with room for nine

The 2020 GMC Yukon XL might be the best option for those needing room for up to nine passengers. Even with all the seats up, there is still plenty of room in the back. The Yukon XL can tow over 8,000 points thanks to the two V8 powertrains that GMC offers, but Edmunds does note that it isn’t the smoothest towing experience.

Fuel economy: 16-18 mpg combined

List Price Range: $39,496 – $68,998

The 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser is great both on and off-road

If you are less concerned with passenger space and more concerned about off-road adventures, the 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser might be a good pick. The ride is still comfortable and roomy, but the Land Cruiser is far more than just an SUV. With a long history of reliability and durability, you might even have difficulty finding the 2019 Land Cruiser. You might have trouble finding any year of the Land Cruiser since Toyota nixed it from the lineup. People tend to hold onto these Toyota SUVs and drive until the wheels fall off, which is good and bad.

List Price: $78,499

You can probably skip the 2019 Nissan Armada

Edmunds noted some positives about the 2019 Nissan Armada, including the high-quality interior, smooth V8, and quiet cabin. Some of the negatives include fuel economy, mainly the 14 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. For a 2019 vehicle, the infotainment system was still a few years behind, and Nissan didn’t offer Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The third row wasn’t very spacious, and the cargo area height made it hard to load things into. Overall, there are better large used SUVs for the money.

Fuel economy: 16 mpg combined

List Price Range: $24,998 – $47,998

Hopefully, this list helps jump-start your search. Finding a reliable used SUV can seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. These SUVs have a history of reliability that makes the choice easier.
