The Toyota Sequoia is a full-size SUV with 437 horsepower

When Kelley Blue Book ranked some high-horsepower SUVs, the 2023 Toyota Sequoia topped the list with 437 hp. The Sequoia is spacious and has room for eight, with plenty of creature comforts to keep the family entertained. Kelley Blue Book says that even though this is a Toyota-branded vehicle, the inside is almost veering into Lexus luxury territory.

Toyota equipped the 2023 Sequoia with a 3.4L twin-turbo V6 and an electric motor with the aforementioned 437 combined hp and 583 lb-ft combined torque. EPA fuel economy numbers come in at 21 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway for the two-wheel drive version and 19 mpg in the city, and 22 mpg on the highway for the four-wheel drive version.

A moonroof, heated front seats, and a 360-degree camera system are standard. Regarding safety systems, the 2023 Toyota Sequoia gets Toyota Safety Sense 2.5. That includes blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking.

Nissan’s Armada is another full-size SUV with 400 horsepower

Don’t overlook the 2023 Nissan Armada for a reliable and full-size SUV with 375 horsepower or more. Kelley Blue Book says the Armada is a good choice for shoppers, regardless of its horsepower, thanks to low ownership costs and a reasonable MSRP range. The Armada has 400 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque, thanks to its 5.6L V8 engine.

Rear-wheel drive is standard and gets 14 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. With the optional four-wheel drive, that falls to 13 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway. The towing capacity maxes out at 8,500 pounds, but that is plenty for the everyday driver.

A heated steering wheel is standard on all trim levels, as is the 5.6L V8 engine. Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel are also standard. The 2023 Nissan Armada also gets Full-speed adaptive cruise control, Blind-spot monitoring, and Forward and Reverse Automatic Emergency Braking.

The 2023 Ford Expedition MAX won the KBB Full-Size SUV Best Buy of 2023 thanks to its standard features and space. Ford’s Expedition MAX is an extra foot long and has 77% more cargo space behind the third row. Ford offers the Expedition with three different engine types that get various fuel economy numbers. EPA estimates rate it between 1/617 mpg in the city and 22/23 mpg on the highway.

The 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 (XL STX) gets 380 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque, while the Limited, King Ranch, and Platinum trims get 400 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. The Stealth Performance Edition gets 440 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque.

Ford’s SYNC 4 infotainment system comes with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. On top of that, every new Expedition gets Ford Co-Pilot360 which adds forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert.
