The list of longest potential lifespan SUVs has plenty of options from brands you expect, like Toyota and Honda. However, there are no Jeep vehicles on the list of SUVs that can last 200,000 miles or more. What sport utility vehicles made the list, and where are all the Jeeps?

The SUVs that can last 200,000 miles have many options from Toyota

Experts at iSeeCars looked at the sales of more than two million vehicles sold for at least 10 of the last 20 years to find which SUVs that can last 200,000 miles or more. The usual suspects are in the first few spots, the Toyota Sequoia and Toyota Land Cruiser. iSeeCars found that the Sequoia has the potential to last 296,509 miles or more. That means there are some Sequoias on the road with more than 300,000 miles and some that didn’t quite make it as long.

After studying these long-lasting Toyota SUVs, iSeeCars found that 11.2% of Sequoias on the road have more than 200,000 miles on the odometer. The average for the segment is 0.9% for three-row sport utility vehicles. Beyond that, the Toyota Land Cruiser has the potential to last 280,236 miles or more. Around 16.2% of Land Cruiser SUVs on the road have 200,000 miles or more, compared to that same average of 0.9%.

Jeep didn’t make the list of SUVs that can last 200,000 miles

The top 20 list of SUVs had the Toyotas mentioned above, followed by the Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon XL, and the Chevrolet Tahoe. Some usual suspects are on the list, but Jeep is notably missing from all segments.

The good news is that there are a lot of SUVs that can last 200,000 miles or more. The bad news is that Jeep didn’t make it into the top 20. In a study about the Jeep Wrangler specifically, iSeeCars found that approximately 1% of Wranglers on the road have 200,000 miles or more. The segment average sits at 0.9% for small SUVs, which means the Wrangler is still above average.

The study had a few stipulations, such as being on sale for half of the last 20 years and getting beat by other vehicles. There is also a great possibility the Jeeps were sold longer than 20 years ago.

iSeeCars found that the Jeep Wrangler is probably the longest-lasting SUV in the lineup. Around 0.9% of Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs on the road have more than 200,000 miles on the odometer, which is right on par for the average.

However, iSeeCars isn’t the only source for finding SUVs that can last more than 200,000 miles. There are likely plenty of Jeep Wranglers, Grand Cherokees, Compasses, and even the Renegade with 200,000 miles or more. If you have a Jeep with more than 200,000 miles, let us know in the comments!
