Honda has a lineup of SUVs that people are eager to get their hands on, especially one particular model, the HR-V, which has been selling like hotcakes. The reason many people are drawn to it is likely due to the fact it’s one of the cheapest Honda SUVs you can get. How much is it, and what are the three best features you can get with it?

How much is the cheapest Honda SUV?

The first benefit is that you can get it at an affordable price. The Honda HR-V model comes in three different trim levels. The first is the base, LX, which you can get for $25,425 after destination fees ($1,325) but before any extras are added. Honda’s Sport trim is the next in the lineup for the model, and you can purchase it for $26,975. The top-tiered version, the EX-L, comes with a price tag of $28,975, according to Honda. If you want an AWD version, expect to pay $1,500 more.

Some of the packages available to add to some of these models include a few protection packages, which will run you anywhere from $293 to $358. With these additions, you get items like splash guards, floor mats, a cargo tray, and wheel locks.

As for extra accessories, you could opt for a tailgate spoiler for $300, an engine block heater (for colder areas) for $90, a roof basket for $404, a midsize roof box for $555, a bike rack for the roof for $211, rear passenger window shades for $155, seat back protectors for $100, and a first aid kit for $34.

Other available extras include the Rugged package, which offers grille, door trims, and fender flares. This can be added to your purchase for $1,100. The HPD package can also be had for your vehicle with a price tag of $1,402, and it will get you special exterior trimmings and decals.

The 2024 Honda HR-V has standard Apple CarPlay

The second best feature is the useful tech features it has. If you’re wondering if the Honda HR-V base model has smartphone integration, you’ll be pleased to know that it will come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. It also will come with features such as an automatic climate control system, push-button start, cruise control, a cargo area light, and a four-speaker audio system.

Some available features include an all-wheel drivetrain and a real-time AWD with an Intelligent control system.

The cheapest Honda SUV has standard advanced driver aids

The third benefit to buying an HR-V is all the standard equipment, namely driver assistance aids, you get with it. All three trims come with features such as forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking system, adaptive cruise control with low-speed flow, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition system, road departure mitigation system, and lane-departure warning.

As for available features, you can add the blind-spot information system with a cross-traffic monitor, which will alert you to some of the objects around you that you don’t normally see within your line of vision.

A fully loaded Honda HR-V costs under $30K

The trim of the Honda HR-V gives you a lot for under $30,000. It offers parking sensors, low-speed braking control, a multi-angle rearview camera, an anti-lock braking system, a tire pressure monitoring system, 17-inch machined finished alloy wheels, heated front-trimmed leather seats, rear seat reminder, and an eight-speaker audio system.

You’ll also get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Sirius XM, HD Radio, an automatic dimming rearview mirror, a dual-zone climate control system, ambient LED lighting, and a smartphone charging pad as well as a nine-inch touchscreen.

Like the other two trims, the 2.0-liter iVTEC four-cylinder engine powering it up generates 158 hp and 138 lb-ft of torque. It also allows it to get 26 mpg on city roads and 32 mpg when traveling on the highway. If you pick up the all-wheel drive version, you’ll get 25 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.

Grabbing a 2024 Honda HR-V will get you plenty of standard features for an affordable price. Even the top-tiered version, the EX-L, gets you a ton of items as standard equipment for just under $30,000. With all the standard equipment like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, you can’t go wrong with the HR-V.
