How much is a 2024 Outback SUV?

Subaru pulled out all the stops for the top-trim 2024 Outback Touring XT, building up its base MSRP as a result. If a fully loaded 2024 Outback is on the radar, expect a starting cost of $42,795. The Outback Touring XT earns that price tag with a deep catalog of standard features and premium performance upgrades over lower trims.

Inside the cabin, the Touring XT package leans into its premium appeal. Heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and leather upholstery are all standard. To top it off, Java Brown and Black Napa Leather upholstery are exclusive to Touring and Touring XT models. Subaru also adds its full complement of convenience features, from automatic folding mirrors to a hands-free power liftgate.

The 2024 Outback Touring XT doesn’t pull any punches regarding safety tech, either. While Subaru emphasizes driver-assist features throughout its model lineup, the top-trim Outback stands out. The SUV goes beyond the standard EyeSight dual-camera system found among other trims and adds a wide-angle camera for maximum visibility.

As expected, the top Outback trim comes with with the more powerful of the two engine options. The New 2024 Outback Touring XT gets a performance boost via the 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder BOXER engine. With higher horsepower and torque ratings, this turbocharged powertrain outpaces the Outback’s base 2.5-liter BOXER engine. Opting for the non-turbo 2024 Outback Touring drops the base price to $40,345.

2024 Subaru Outback price varies for other trims

Alongside the Touring XT, Subaru also revealed pricing for the full lineup of 2024 Outback trims in an announcement via Cision.

The 2024 Outback Base will start at $28,895 and features standard equipment like symmetrical all-wheel drive and EyeSight Driver Assist technology. Moving up a trim, the 2024 Outback Premium has a base MRSP of $31,195 and offers upgrades like an all-weather package and power driver’s seat. Upgrading to the 2024 Outback Limited gets additions such as leather-trimmed seats and a base price of $35,795.

Subaru will offer two trims with more rugged aesthetics. The 2024 Outback Onyx Edition starts at $36,105 with its unique black exterior cladding, while the Onyx Edition XT upgrades to the 2.4-liter turbocharged powertrain. To maximize off-road capability, drivers can opt for the $39,960 starting price of the 2024 Outback Wilderness.

New 2024 Subaru Outback Features

The 2024 Outback mainly carries over from the previous Outback model year. Rather than fully rehauling one of its flagship models, Subaru has added a few subtle updates. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be available for the first time, along with a standard heated steering wheel for Onyx Edition, Onyx Edition XT, and Wilderness models. The 2024 Outback Wilderness receives the most notable change with an updated “aggressive” front fascia.

Subaru is turning over its lineup to the 2024 model year. More model updates and news are sure to follow behind the 2024 Outback.
