Oh no, the Jeep Gladiator could be in trouble as sales drop. There are improvements to consider with the 2024 model, but until it hits the dealerships, you can score incredible savings. Check out why the 2023 Jeep Gladiator is receiving discounts.

How much does the 2023 Jeep Gladiator cost?

The 2023 Jeep Gladiator starts with an MSRP of $38,990, and the top-spec Rubicon trim takes the price up to $51,245. These prices don’t include the $1,795 destination fee. While these prices seem high, at least features such as 4×4 come standard.

But something is missing because sales keep dropping. In 2022, Gladiator sales dropped by 13% compared to 2021. Then, in the first half of 2023, sales decreased by another 29%. While this is concerning for Stellantis, it could be beneficial for buyers.

Dealerships seemed determined to clear 2023 Gladiator models off the lot to make room for the 2024 model. Jeep is rolling out manufacture discounts that are being combined with dealership incentives for discounts of $20,000.

Jeep has a manufacturer discount of 10% off of a purchase or lease through 2023. Plus, California, Minnesota, and a few other states qualify for 15% off.

Some dealer discounts of $9,506 have been spotted and can be paired with the $7,876 rebate. Other rebates are available as well.

While most inventory is taken up by the entry-level models, there are examples of the Rubicon and Willys models for about $12,000 to $14,000 off. It might be an excellent time to strike.

2024 Jeep Gladiator: What’s new?

If you prefer to wait for the 2024 Jeep Gladiator, then there are substantial improvements to get excited about. It has a refreshed look that includes a shorter grille to improve engine cooling and to make space for a factory-installed warn winch.

The antenna is now integrated into the windshield to avoid getting snagged on branches and at the carwash. Plus, the interior has improved sound-damping materials for a quieter ride. There’s a new water-proof 12-way driver’s seat, too.

The dashboard features horizontal vents for improved cooling and was redesigned to resemble the original Willys Jeep. The interior includes new soft-touch materials, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and Uconnect5 software.

It also includes standard Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, improved voice recognition software, and the screen prevents glare while the top is off. Also, the Jeep Adventure guide includes access to over 3,000 trails with navigation and detailed instructions.

The Rubicon X and Mojave X are new luxurious trims with the highest level of capability. These trims feature Nappa leather upholstery, steel bumpers, steel rock rails, a full-time transfer case, and an integrated off-road camera.

Does the 2023 Gladiator have a good resale value?

Yes, the 2023 Jeep Gladiator has an excellent resale value. The entry-level model is expected to maintain 71.0% of its worth after five years, while the Rubicon will retain about 69.9% of its worth.

If a Gladiator model depreciates by about 22% after five years, then it will have a resale value of roughly $41,446. It also helps that the Gladiator has an above-average reliability rating of 85 out of 100 from J.D.Power.

The Gladiator is durable and tough as the most advanced off-roading truck. It might be an excellent time to cash in on savings while waiting for the 2024 model.

However, it still doesn’t have an engine upgrade. The discounts are here to get more Glaidator models moving, but the 2024 model might not boost interest. Stay tuned to see how sales go.
