Check it out, the new Hyundai Palisade XRT is ready to tackle the wild. This three-row SUV got more than just an appearance package. The 2023 Hyundai Palisade XRT includes rugged upgrades to tackle the wild during family trips.

What comes with the 2023 Hyundai Palisade XRT?

You need to see the 2023 Hyundai Palisade XRT with its attractive, rugged looks and enhanced off-roading capabilities. It has a dark grille finish, rides on 20-inch wheels, and features black roof side rails to set it apart from the rest of the lineup.

The Palisade XRT also features XRT badging with lower bumpers to protect itself from gravel. The look is completed with faux skid plates that add a bit of protection from the elements, but we wouldn’t push it too hard.

Also, the interior includes black leatherette seating that’s durable and easy to clean. We hope this ride comes with protected all-weather flooring too. The ability to store muddy gear without having to worry is always nice.

How much power does the Palisade XRT have?

The 2023 Hyundai Palisade XRT doesn’t have any extra power. It features the same 3.6-liter V6 lineup as the rest of the lineup. It provides 291 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. The Palisade can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 7.6 seconds, which is average.

When properly equipped, the Palisade can tow up to 5,000 lbs and carry a payload of up to 1,605 lbs. This is a good amount of strength for hauling smaller campers, trailers, and water crafts.

But according to Car and Driver, all-wheel drive doesn’t come standard. That hurts the wallet. You can add AWD to any model across the lineup for $1,900, which is a pretty steep price.

Adding AWD gets you an AWD lock and hill descent control. It also adds off-roading modes for snow and towing. The Palisade has a ground clearance of 7.9 inches, which is alright. It could be a little higher off the ground for off-roading adventures.

The Palisade provides 18.0 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row with up to 86.4 cubes total. That’s a good amount of space for hauling your camping gear to the wild. However, don’t push your Palisade too far off the pavement.

How much does the Palisade XRT cost?

Prepare your wallet. The 2023 Hyundai Palisade isn’t cheap. It starts at $41,545. With the $1,900 for AWD and the $1,295 destination fee, you’re looking at about $44,740 before dealership markups.

On that note, the base trim starts at $34,950, and the top-spec Calligraphy trim increases the price to about $50,800. But it may come with enough comfort and luxury to be worth the high price.

A new 12-inch infotainment screen replaces the old 8.0 and 10.2-inch options. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a Wifi hotspot, built-in navigation, and Bluetooth connectivity are standard across each trim level.

Moving up to the Calligraphy trim now provides access to massaging seats and a digital rearview mirror.

The Palisade XRT is pretty expensive and could be a bit more capable, but it should offer more control than before. Plus, your family will get to adventure with luxury, comfort, and style.
