According to Cars.com, the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Road Tripper package changes some styling cues and makes some minor upgrades. First, the Road Tripper package is available with the standard powertrain or the hybrid alternative. The former gets 20-inch gray wheels with orange accents, the latter has smaller 18-inch wheels instead. Additionally, orange accents are present for the door-mounted Road Tripper badging, and the Chrysler wing emblems get hints of orange too.

Next, it’s important to note that this isn’t just a design package to make the Pacifica look better. Functional improvements include the Trailer Tow Group as standard equipment. Moreover, the Pacifica can only tow 3,600 pounds when equipped with the Trailer Tow Group. In addition, a standard roof rack is included and compatible with many Mopar accessories. Lastly, all-weather Mopar floor mats come with every Pacifica Road Tripper. Is the new minivan package worth the money?

How much is the Road Tripper package?

With the new 2023 Chrysler Pacifica package, owners get a little more out of their minivan. But the real question is, is the price actually worth it? Cars.com says the new design and improved trailering package is a $2,395 option for the front-wheel drive Pacifica Touring L. That’s in addition to the $42,240 cost of that trim. Instead, buyers can buy the $45,225 all-wheel drive Touring L, with which the package costs just $2,095. Lastly, the Touring L Hybrid costs $52,090, but the price of the Road Tripper package is reduced to $1,495.

The order books for Pacifica models with the new package will open in early 2023. However, models wearing the orange badging aren’t expected to arrive in dealerships until spring 2023.

Other Pacifica trims are unavailable with the new package. The Touring L models are mid-tier in the lineup, so thankfully, they aren’t the most costly. A base model Touring trim starts under $40,000, and the range-topping Pinnacle exceeds $55,000. Only the Pacifica Touring L, Limited, and Pinnacle are available with a hybrid powertrain. Base models are only available with the 3.6-liter V6 engine.

What else is new with the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica?

Besides the new package, no other changes are reportedly coming to the Chrysler minivan. As a result, if the 2022 Pacifica wasn’t appealing to you, it probably still won’t be. The only major difference is the availability of the Road Tripper package, which is mostly cosmetic with a bit of towing improvement. Since many drivers don’t use their minivans for towing, the package might not be ideal. However, anyone who frequently tows a small trailer and needs the space a minivan provides for a family and cargo should check out the new 2023 Chrysler Pacifica with the Road Tripper package.
