General Motors is determined to make an impact on the electric future. GM and its many brands are rolling out multiple new upcoming EV platforms that will act as cornerstones to fully electric portfolios. General Motors’ electric cars, trucks, and SUVs are on the way, and the Chevy Bolt EUV may be the company’s best-selling electric vehicle of 2023.

The 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV has plenty to prove

Chevrolet’s Bolt EUV was inspired by none other than the most controversial electric hatchback produced in recent years: the Chevy Bolt. The Chevrolet Bolt shocked the industry when it first hit the scene back in 2016 as a 2017 model year. Many critics and experts agreed that the electric hatchback was practical and provided great value for the money.

General Motors had produced an affordable electric vehicle that had enough range to satisfy the average consumer (with access to home charging/ EV charging). The Bolt’s good name went up in smoke as Bolt batteries began to overheat and catch fire.

After several instances of Bolt battery fires made headlines, GM decided to recall the entire nameplate. The recall cost the American automaker over a billion dollars. Ultimately LG Electronics agreed to reimburse General Motors over the faulty (and dangerous) batteries.

The Chevrolet Bolt EV and EUV are available with new batteries and new attractive pricing. The controversy of the massive recall looms over both nameplates like a dark cloud, that is, until the EVs prove to be reliable. The Bolt EUV’s value proposition is attractive enough for most consumers to take a risk on it.

Chevrolet’s subcompact electric SUV’s specs might not be class-leading, but its affordability is tough to ignore. The Bolt EUV is significantly cheaper than its rivals, yet its driving range is similar to the best vehicles in its segment.

The 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV starts at just $27,200 for the LT base model. Its Premier trim starts at $31,700. The 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV Premier comes standard with adaptive cruise control, perforated leather-appointed seats, and HD surround vision.

The Bolt EUV Premier is easily one of the best electric vehicle values on the market between its 247 miles of driving range and amazing standard features. Car and Driver praises the EV’s spacious cabin and advanced tech. Chevy offers two packages that make the Bolt EUV an even sweeter deal for long-term ownership.

If you do consider buying a 2023 Chevrolet Bolt, the Premier trim is the one to buy because of its premium standard features and affordable price. Chevy offers a Super Cruise package and a Sun and Sound package for the Bolt EUV.

These packages add Chevrolet’s hands-free driver assistance technology, a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a seven-speaker Bose audio system to the EUV Premier for a grand total of $37,390. So, a fully loaded Bolt EUV is still more affordable than rivals like the Kia Niro EV. Chevy’s Bolt EUV has the potential to become the most popular electric vehicle that GM has ever produced.
