When it comes to electric vehicles, the Chevy Bolt EV is one of the most affordable options on the market. That said, while the Bolt EV is well known for its relative affordability, Chevrolet also offers a compact crossover SUV version of the car. Here’s a look at the 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV and how much its top trim costs.

How much does a fully loaded 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV cost?

Off the bat, the standard 2022 Bolt EUV starts at about $34,000, according to Chevrolet. For comparison, the 2022 Bolt EV starts at about $32,000. In terms of trims, however, the EUV has two options. There’s the standard LT trim, and then there’s the more expensive Premier trim. The Premier starts at about $38,500. Plus, Chevrolet offers plenty of available options and packages.

For example, there’s the Sun and Sound package, which costs about $2,500. On top of that, there are also more practical packages that improve the SUV’s utility, such as a tire inflator kit. When all is said and done, a fully loaded 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV Premier costs about $43,000.

Are these options worth it?

As far as differences go, the Premier mostly improves the Bolt EUV’s interior and technology. As such, specs such as the electric motors or driving range remain almost the same compared to the base model. In any case, the Premier trim provides standard features such as leather seats, an HD surround vision system, and adaptive cruise control.

The Sun and Sound package includes not only a panoramic sunroof and premium audio system but also a navigation system. That said, one of the cooler packages available for the Bolt EUV is Super Cruise. It costs $2,200, and it gives Bolt EUV owners access to GM’s Super Cruise semiautonomous self-driving technology.

However, the more practical packages are less cool. For example, the Winter/Summer Floor Mats Package, which costs about $300, replaces the Bolt EUV’s floor mats with all-weather premium floor mats. And the $200 Cargo Convenience Package adds a cargo net and an all-weather cargo mat.

In any case, at a price of about $43,000 before tax credits and rebates, a fully loaded Bolt EUV is definitely worth the extra spend for folks who want those premium features. But those options might not be necessary for every buyer.

Which 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV trim should you buy?

At the end of the day, it depends on what matters more to you. The standard Bolt EUV starts at about $2,000 more than the entry-level Bolt EV, and Chevrolet definitely gave the EUV quite a few features that the EV doesn’t have, along with more space and higher ground clearance. For some shoppers, those extra features might be enough, and they would be happy with the standard Bolt EUV.

That said, one of the coolest things about the Bolt EUV is that it can be equipped with Super Cruise. However, you’ll need to upgrade to the Premier trim to purchase that add-on. So if you want semiautonomous driving, pick the Premier trim.
