It’s only been a year since the Cadillac CT4 got a huge performance boost with the CT4-V Blackwing. But time waits for no one and no car, and the model year turnover is almost here. So, the 2022 Cadillac CT4 family will soon give way to the 2023 version. And whether you want a base model or a tricked-out Blackwing, this guide should give you a good rundown of the CT4’s new year.

When can you order a 2023 Cadillac CT4 or CT4-V?

Like the CT5 and CT5-V models, GM assembles the 2023 Cadillac CT4 and CT4-V at its Lansing Grand River plant. And though it had to push the start date back slightly, the smaller Cadillac sedan is currently in production. Well, most versions are, at least.

GM has already started building the 2023 Cadillac CT4, CT4-V, and CT4-V Blackwing. The limited-edition CT4-V Blackwing Track Editions, though, have staggered starts. The Watkins Glen IMSA Edition won’t start production until October-December 2022, while the Sebring IMSA Edition is slated for January 2023. And Cadillac won’t start building the Road Atlanta IMSA Edition until February-March 2023.

However, while the Track Editions aren’t in production yet, you can order them right now. All 2023 CT4 and CT4-V order books are currently open. Furthermore, a local Chicagoland Cadillac dealer told me that CT4 deliveries should start within the next month.

How much do the 2023 Cadillac CT4 and CT4-V cost?

The Cadillac CT4 lineup hasn’t changed between 2022 and 2023. The base model is still the Luxury, followed by the Premium Luxury 350T, Sport, and Premium Luxury 500T. And technically, the Luxury’s and Sport’s full names are ‘Luxury 350T’ and ‘Sport 350T,’ respectively. Then come the V-Series models, the CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing.

Although the lineup hasn’t changed, the pricing has. All Cadillac CT4 models cost slightly more in 2023 than in 2022, GM Authority reports. The prices, including destination charges, break down in the following way:

  • CT4:
    • Luxury 350T:
      • RWD: $35,790
      • AWD: $37,790
    • Premium Luxury 350T:
      • RWD: $40,690
      • AWD: $42,690
    • Sport 350T:
      • RWD: $41,890
      • AWD: $43,890
    • Premium Luxury 500T:
      • RWD: $44,390
      • AWD: $46,390
  • CT4-V:
    • RWD: $47,990
    • AWD: $49,090
    • Blackwing:
      • Manual: $61,890
      • Automatic: $65,065

According to GM Authority, all 2023 Cadillac CT4 trims but the Premium Luxury 500T cost $700 more than they did in 2022. That trim, meanwhile, costs $500 more. The CT4-V also costs $700 more, while the CT4-V Blackwing costs $1500 more. All 2023 CT4 and CT4-V models, though, have the same $1395 destination charge.

What kind of engines and transmissions do the 2023 Cadillac CT4 and CT4-V offer?

If you’re confused over the 350T and 500T thing, don’t worry, Cadillac’s workers have mixed them up, too. And it doesn’t help that both refer to turbocharged four-cylinder powerplants. Here’s how it breaks down:

  • 350T: 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder
    • 237 hp
    • 258 lb-ft of torque
    • Eight-speed automatic
  • 500T: 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder
    • 310 hp
    • 350 lb-ft of torque
    • 10-speed automatic

As in 2022, the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing has the same 2.7-liter turbo-four as the Premium Luxury 500T. However, also like last year, it’s boosted to 325 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. And it’s still linked only to a 10-speed automatic.

If you want to row your own gears, though, you’ll want the 2023 CT4-V Blackwing. Whether you get the regular version or the Track Edition, a six-speed manual is standard. And it’s hooked up to a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with 472 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque.

What’s different about the 2023 model?

Mechanically, the 2023 Cadillac CT4 family is identical to its 2022 incarnation. However, the small price increase and upcoming Track Editions aren’t the only changes.

Firstly, the CT4 and CT4-V now offer a Bronze Accent Package. In addition to bronze wheels and center caps, this also adds blacked-out exterior trim and lug nuts. Secondly, Cadillac replaced some optional paint colors with new ones. Instead of Diamond Sky Metallic, Satin Steel Metallic, Shadow Metallic, Garnet Metallic, and Infrared Tintcoat, there’s now Radiant Red Tincoat, Argent Silver Metallic, and Midnight Steel Metallic. Furthermore, the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing now offers optional enclosed shipping.

That’s all we currently know about the 2023 Cadillac CT4. But keep watching this page, because we’ll update it as more information comes out.
