Kelley Blue Book compared the 2023 Acura Integra to the 2023 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe and found advantages for both. The new Acura Integra is a premium sport compact, and the size of the 2 Series shows that it’s larger than a coupe but smaller than a sedan. In this article, we’ll discuss three advantages of the 2023 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe over the new Acura Integra.

BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe has available xDrive AWD

The M235i model allows drivers to have an all-wheel drive vehicle and a suspension system tuned for sports performance. For those unfamiliar with all-wheel drive, AWD isn’t the same as four-wheel drive. With front-wheel drive, the torque pulls the vehicle forward and pushes it backward when reversing. Rear-wheel wheel drive provides torque and power from the vehicle’s rear and moves the vehicle forward.

AWD sends the torque to all four wheels, providing better grip on areas of low traction, such as ice and snow. The better grip offers better stability for the vehicle, which makes it far less likely that the driver will overcompensate while driving.

The 2 Series Gran Coupe has extra headroom

If you’re a tall person, one of the things you likely look for in a vehicle is extra legroom and extra headroom. Compared to the new Acura Integra, the BMW 2 Series four-door offers the best choice for taller drivers, offering almost two and a half inches more headroom. The Gran Coupe provides 38.2 inches of headroom for the front seat and 35.6 inches of headroom for the second row.

There’s also plenty of shoulder room in the front and second row, with 55.5 inches for the front and 53.1 inches in the second row. According to AutoBlog, the ideal minimum headroom height for taller people is 38 inches. The cheapest new BMW also has plenty of legroom, with 41.4 inches for the front and 34.4 inches for the second row.

Exciting performance as an advantage

One of the deciding factors over the new Acura Integra is that the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is more fun to drive. The Gran Coupe shares the same platform as the Mini Countryman while maintaining its speed and agility, with even the least powerful trim overpowering the Integra. The Gran Coupe offers a maximum of 241 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque (1500 rpm), while the 2023 Acura Integra only provides a maximum of 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque (1800 rpm). The car remains comfortable while going over bumps in the road, providing a smooth drive whether you’re on city streets or the highway.

The 2023 Acura Integra has heritage, but the BMW has more advantages

When choosing a new vehicle, the right car depends on what you want and what you need. Kelley Blue Book listed the advantages for this particular model. BMWs come with the latest tech, and sports luxuriousness and craftsmanship. If you’re looking for something with a higher performance level, extra headroom, and all-wheel drive, then the 2023 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe could be ideal.
