Another day, another expensive vehicle hits the market. This time, the truck with a new and improved price is the 2022 Ram TRX. There’s no doubt that every TRX made will get snatched up before the brakes cool down, too. What upgrades does the 2022 Ram truck get?

It is no secret that the 2022 Ram TRX is a hot commodity. Kelley Blue Book says that due to its popularity, the TRX price is jumping about 10% for 2022. What sets the new truck apart from the 2021 model? Not much, actually. However, Ram added on an additional $6,500 for whatever new parts it could scrounge up.

The 2022 Ram TRX is the high-speed performance version of the regular Ram 1500 truck. It does happen to be one of the most popular trucks on the market, which makes it harder to get ahold of. Ram adds about every suspension enhancement possible and some other chassis upgrades. The 2022 TRX has 702 hp from the 6.2L supercharged V8 engine.

For this year, the 2022 Ram TRX starts at $76,880, whereas the 2021 version starts at $70,425. The shipping went up $100 too, making it $1,795 to arrive at your front door. That’s one of the higher destination charges on the market right now.

If you want the 2022 Ram TRX, you better jump on it

The 2022 Ram TRX isn’t one that you will find just lurking around the back of a lot. Ram doesn’t make very many of the TRX, and every truck built in 2021 sold pretty quickly. On top of that, there will likely be a dealer markup if you can find one. Dealers have been doing this for a while on in-demand trucks, and the TRX is the perfect specimen for an extra $5,000 markup.

While it only comes with one configuration, the Crew Cab with a 5-foot 7-inch bed, people are still clamoring to get one. According to Car and Driver, the 2022 Ram TRX hit 60 mph in 3.7 seconds. The truck can “be jumped or comfortably driven sedately, has a luxury-grade cabin.”

The experts at Car and Driver said that it is the fastest truck ever tested. But even with all of that power, it still performed well on regular roads. The 2022 TRX has a towing capacity of 8,100 pounds and a payload of 1,310 pounds.

Don’t forget the Ignition Edition for your brand new truck

In order to make it even more exclusive, there will be an Ignition Edition available, too. Ram says that under 1,000 of the truck will be made. In fact, the number sits at about 875 for the Ignition Edition for now, and that is only if production can keep up. You can anticipate seeing these bright orange monster trucks on the road sometime soon. This one starts at $93,280 but comes fully loaded from the factory.

All in all, you better be ready to write a hefty check for the 2022 Ram TRX or the TRX Ignition Edition. And if it means a lot to you, you probably should have ordered it already. If not, this is your reminder.
