How Much Does a Fully Loaded 2022 Ram 1500 TRX Cost?
The Dodge Ram 1500 upped the ante when it released the TRX model. Built on the legacy of Ram Rebel, the 2022 Ram 1500 TRX isn’t the most affordable truck. However, it blows the competition away with its dynamic performance by offering all the utility of a pickup truck with the performance of a sports car in a hard-to-beat combination. So, what do you get with a fully-loaded Ram 1500 TRX, and how much does it cost?
Ram 1500 models
The 2022 Ram 1500 starts at $34,400 for the base model Tradesman and goes up to $73,480 for the top TRX trim. There are seven trim levels, including the Big Horn (in Texas the Lone Star), Rebel, Laramie, Longhorn, Limited, and TRX.
The Ram 1500 offers two cab configurations: the crew cab and the quad cab. Both have a backseat and four doors. The crew cab provides more legroom and a choice between the short bed at 5 feet 7 inches or the long bed at 6 feet 4 inches. You can only get the long bed with the quad cab configuration.
There’s an impressive engine lineup offered depending on which model and configuration you go with. All get an automatic eight-speed transmission with rear-wheel drive. You can get four-wheel drive as an option on all models aside from the TRX. TRX gets 4WD standard.
The base Tradesman has 18-inch steel wheels with black door handles and bumpers. It offers automatic headlights, heated power-adjustable exterior mirrors, power door locks, and power windows. You also get cruise control, remote keyless entry, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, and trailer sway damping.
On the inside, the cabin is air-conditioned with a clean air interior filtering system and vinyl seat and floor coverings. There’s a 5-inch touch screen for navigating the infotainment system, plus Bluetooth connectivity and a six-speaker audio system.
The 2022 Ram 1500 TRX
While the Ram Rebel is the best choice for off-roading in the lineup, the top-shelf TRX is still a dedicated off-road performance truck with a lot to offer.
It has all the Limited model features with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine with a power output of 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. You get a 12-inch touch screen, a wireless charging pad, and premium leather bucket seats. It also has four-corner air suspension, power-deployable running boards, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
The distinct features of the TRX model include flared fenders, underbody skid plates, and amber LED lights incorporated in the functional hood scoop. It also has upgraded engine cooling, a performance exhaust system, and a unique lifted suspension with Bilstein adaptive dampers. The upgraded brakes, 35-inch all-terrain tires, and electronic locking rear differential make it a formidable off-roading machine.
Even more options
Impressive as the 2022 Ram TRX is, you can still add more to it if you have the money. According to Car and Driver, the Level 1 package ups the price by $3,495 but gives you leather-trimmed seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel wrapped in microsuede and leather, cargo-box lighting, and storage space under the backseat, among other features.
The Ignition Edition adds $9,200 and is primarily a convenience and appearance package. Then there’s the Level 2 package which adds $9,995, which is everything, and the kitchen sink. Not only does it include great luxury, comfort, and convenience features, it also adds additional tech and safety features like a surround-view camera system, parking assists, and more.Â
A fully-loaded 2022 Ram 1500 TRX fully-loaded is going to cost just over $93,000. For that, you’ll have almost any feature you could possibly need or want.
