2020 Minivans Worth Your Attention

While SUVs have become more and more popular as family vehicles, nothing quite beats the spaciousness of having a minivan. Once old and outdated, new vans can have just as much luxury as any SUV or sedan, and they are still competitors in the market. To many people, a van might always be your standard ‘soccer mom’ vehicle, but minivans like the Chrysler Pacifica are out to prove themselves, and they do a great job.

There aren’t a lot of options when it comes to picking out a new minivan, and that’s because they just aren’t as popular as they used to be. Car manufacturers have been working double-time to keep their minivans up to date with modern technology and style — well, as much style as you can fit into an otherwise unattractive minivan body. Buying a minivan doesn’t have to mean you’re miserable on your daily commute, or that you have to sacrifice comfort, luxury, and safety tech, because these minivans have it all.

The Honda Odyssey makes the top of the list for many websites, and it’s not any different here. The Odyssey has several trim levels that vary in their offerings, but even the base model is a good buy. The Odyssey is a great option for travel with a large family, or even just your friends, because each row is big enough to comfortably fit an average-sized adult — yes, even the third row.

The Odyssey isn’t the only minivan worth a test drive

The Honda Odyssey might be my favorite minivan, but it isn’t the only good option on the market. The Toyota Sienna is competitively priced and boasts some mildly aggressive features on the front fascia — well, as aggressive as a minivan can look. The Sienna has a lot going for it, like a roomy interior, modern style, and one thing that makes it stand out from other minivans of its class. The Sienna has an option for all-wheel drive, which is pretty unusual for a minivan. Drivers claim that it also has a surprisingly sporty driving experience provided by the V6 engine.

If the Odyssey and Sienna don’t tickle your fancy, maybe our next option will. The Chrysler Pacifica might not look like much from the outside, but it’s well-priced in comparison to the other well-loved minivans on the list and has just as much to offer. It’s one of the best looking minivans of the year, and it gets bonus points for having a plug-in hybrid option.

Whatever choice you make, minivans are far from being extinct, and honestly we think that’s a good thing. Just like modern sedans and SUVs, minivans are getting better year after year. That means new styling, new tech, and new safety features that make them better than ever. While the market for minivans remains small, they are still great options for a spacious and practical vehicle.
