Tired of recalls? Well sorry for the bad news and delightful pun, but the Ford Maverick faces tire problems and instrument panel issues. Your Ford Maverick may need to visit the shop for repairs of a mechanical and technological nature.

Ford Maverick recalls alert for tire and digital gauge cluster problems

The first Ford Maverick recall includes the Ford Bronco Sport, its boxy SUV brother. Maverick and Bronco Sport models manufactured between October 5 through October 11, 2023, may have been equipped with faulty tires.

Models with the 225/60 R18 Michelin Primacy all-season tires could have defects. The tires were produced with a hybrid cap ply made of aramid and nylon instead of just nylon.

As a result, the tires have an increased corner stiffness of about 20 to 30%. This could lead to a loss of control during evasive maneuvers, increasing the risk of accidents and injuries.

The faulty tires came from Mexico and Michelin admits that one of the bobbins containing tire materials was incorrectly labeled.

The second recall is related to 63,000 Maverick Hybrid trucks from 2022 and 2023 due to faulty instrument panels. The clusters may fail to illuminate warning lights and gauges, including the speedometer.

This could prevent drivers from being aware of mechanical issues or their speed, increasing the risk of accidents and injuries.

Those involved with the cluster problem will be notified via mail starting on March 18, and you can call Ford at 888-436-7332 with any questions you may have. You will need to take your Ford Maverick to a local dealership for a free software update.

Maverick owners at risk of having faulty tires will be notified via mail starting on April 5. If your truck is involved you will need to visit a local dealership to have your tires inspected and replaced for free if necessary.

You can also visit the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) site and enter your 17-digit V.I.N. to see if your Maverick is under recall. You can call the NHSTA at 888-327-4236 with any related questions.
