What Do We Know About the New 2024 Lexus TX?

The new 2024 Lexus TX is a long-time coming to market. Lexus applied for the trademark of the TX name in 2009, and the brand is finally ready to bring a new three-row Lexus SUV to the lineup. The current midsize three-row Lexus is the RX L, and it’s not cutting the mustard when we see more spacious models offered. The new Lexus TX should solve this problem.

What’s the advantage of the 2024 Lexus TX?

The new Lexus TX shares a platform with the upcoming Toyota Grand Highlander. We’ve had a look at the Toyota SUV and see a large, roomy, comfortable third-row area that works for adults and children.

The Lexus RX L only offers 23.5 inches of legroom for rear-seat passengers. This is insufficient for any passengers, including children. The new TX three-row Lexus SUV will offer passengers more space in this area. Removing the third row from the RX lineup also improves the second-row legroom for RX passengers, making this new SUV a win-win model.

What will power the Lexus TX?

It’s pretty easy to see the Grand Highlander and TX are being developed together. The new 2024 Lexus TX will share the base powertrain with the Grand Highlander. This powertrain uses a 2.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing 340 horsepower. This powertrain includes a six-speed automatic transmission, standard AWD, and an electric motor for the rear wheels, making the new Lexus TX a hybrid SUV.

What are some expected features of this new Lexus SUV?

While still unconfirmed, we expect to see some incredibly advanced features in the new Lexus TX. This three-row Lexus SUV should include a new semi-autonomous driving system that makes parking a breeze using a digital key. With this key, drivers can park and unpark their SUVs from the outside, which makes it much easier to fit this large vehicle into smaller spaces.

The infotainment interface should come from the RX. The new TX could arrive with a 9.8-inch touchscreen display in the lower trims and a 14-inch HD touchscreen for the higher trim levels. In addition to these large screens, the infotainment system includes:

  • Lexus voice assistant
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto
  • Apple Music
  • Amazon Music
  • Dual-Bluetooth pairing
  • Cloud navigation
  • Over-the-air updates

We also expect to see a large 12.3-linch fully digital gauge cluster in the 2024 Lexus TX. This new system could have customizable layouts similar to what we see in Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

What’s the release date for the 2024 Lexus TX?

Currently, there’s no official release date. The new three-row Lexus SUV arrives at the end of 2023 to replace the Lexus RX L. This new luxury SUV shares a platform with the new Toyota Grand Highlander and should have a larger third row than the traditional Highlander SUV.

Where will this new Lexus SUV be built?

Top Electric SUVs reported that Toyota recently announced two all-new, three-row SUVs being added to the Princeton, Indiana plant. One of these two is a Lexus, and it’s expected to be the new Lexus TX. It only makes sense that the other will be the new Toyota Grand Highlander. Toyota has not confirmed the models, but these two would make sense.
