We are currently wondering what the Jeep Gladiator is teasing us with. Ram and Jeep have released sneak peek of SEMA builds, and the image of a military-like Jeep Gladiator grabbed our attention. Is a new Jeep truck on the way?

What is this military Jeep Gladiator concept?

It’s almost time for the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association show (SEMA) in Las Vegas, and we’re already being teased with a military-like version of the Jeep Gladiator. Now we need to learn more.

SEMA will take place from November 2 to the 5. Ram and Jeep typically provide the most popular displays, and it doesn’t seem like they’ll be disappointing this year. Along with a different type of Gladiator, a hybrid Ram 1500 has been teased.

Is a two-door Gladiator on the way?

While fans rejoiced about the Jeep Gladiator returning as a midsize truck, others wondered where the smaller two-door option is. The Gladiator has been around for two years, and people are still waiting on a smaller model.

All trucks seem to be getting smaller right now with the debut of the compact Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruze. Plus, the Chevy Montana and a midsize Ram truck could be on the way.

The teaser image of the Gladiator shows a few retro parts. For example, it has the grille that was featured on the Willys Jeep truck that was in production from 1947 to 1965. It featured a two-door pickup truck, two-door cab chassis, and a two-door stake bed body style.

The lighting on the truck adds to the vintage theme. Plus, the square front bumper and tow hooks have a classic style. But the chunky tires look pretty modern. The back of the truck is covered.

We can’t see how many doors the truck has or its size in the photos. But perhaps this Jeep truck concept is geared toward overlanding. The large compartment in the back would provide plenty of space from camping.

What about the other Jeep teasers?

Along with the militarized Jeep Gladiator, there are a few other SEMA Jeep concepts to investigate. One sketch shows the 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Rubicon off-roading at night.

It’s equipped with larger fender flares, a lift kit, and a large light mounted above the charging port. Because SEMA represents aftermarket automotive parts, it’s not a wild idea for different off-roading kits to be available. An even more capable 4xe wouldn’t be surprising.

The last Jeep image displays what could be a Wrangler with tubular roll bars in the back and a new type of roof treatment. It includes small windows or plastic panels on the roof. That’s great for those who want to let more light in.

Unfortunately, we will have to wait for a few weeks to learn more. Ram and Jeep use the show to see how well different custom packages are received by fans. They usually bring five to six models to display.

We expected the Jeep Gladiator 4xe to be the next big thing. However, fans might get more excited about something else. We will keep you updated about what to expect as we learn more.
