We expect a lot from the luxe marques of today’s market. The days of wrapping an occupant in leather and wood grain and calling it a day are extinct. The standards are high. What’s more, many owners expect posh amenities in their luxury cars to match their lifestyle, like heated and cooled cup holders. BMW offers several models with climate-controlled cup holders, but they’re not alone.

It’s true; we live in a world where your luxury vehicle will keep your drink hot. Some models, like a fully optioned 2024 BMW X5 M60, offer the convenient, albeit largely unnecessary feature. More posh, higher-tier models, like the X7 and XM, offer the option as well.

Still, like so many vehicles with heated and ventilated seats, 2024 BMW models offer heated and cooled cup holders. The push of a button is all it takes to drop your drink’s temperature. Of course, Bimmer isn’t the only brand with a climate-controlled cup holder option.

BMW isn’t the only marque with heated cup holders on the options list

BMW certainly isn’t the only brand with climate-controlled beverage holders. These are just some of the brands with the option to keep your drink just right.

  • Nissan
  • Mercedes-Benz
  • Chrysler
  • Tesla
  • Cadillac
  • Genesis

A few of these options are not at all surprising. For instance, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class has push-button heated and cooled cup holders– as expected for one of the pioneering nameplates in the luxury sedan segment.

However, fans of Chrysler’s flagship luxury sedan might not expect that level of opulence. That’s right; the now-discontinued Chrsyler 300 offered heated and cooled cupholders as early as 2011 on the model’s LD platform, per Cars.com.

If you want your drink hot with your budget intact– there’s an aftermarket option for that

As you might imagine, the aftermarket comes to the rescue. A cursory internet search will reveal many universal heated cup holder solutions to warm up your drink without paying BMW XM prices.
