Truck driving accidents typically leave behind quite a bit of destruction. This happened recently in Pennsylvania when a semi-truck carrying several vehicles crashed, leaving them strewn across a ditch. Naturally, this caused traffic delays and required resources for cleanup. It’s still unclear what happened to cause the truck driver to crash.

Truck driving accidents like this aren’t common, but their extreme nature makes them feel like they are

According to ABC 27, the truck driving accident happened on May 12th in York County, PA. However, this one didn’t involve a semi-truck crashing into other vehicles. Instead, the tractor-trailer rolled over as it was driving between the Lewisberry and Fishing Creek Road exits on I-83. Unfortunately, this also means that the cars on the back of the commercial vehicle were thrown into the ditch due to the accident’s impact. It’s unclear if these were cars headed to dealerships or if private owners were having them shipped.

By all accounts, the truck driving accident happened before 5 a.m. Emergency crews were quickly on the scene, and images show them pulling several vehicles out of the ditch at around 7:30. This also means the authorities had to limit the use of lanes near the accident. The lane guidance was in place until 8 a.m. Though this delayed traffic, the change didn’t require detours for drivers.

The good thing about this trucking accident is that no injuries or fatalities were reported, including the person driving the tractor-trailer. Local police are still investigating the cause of the crash, which ended with vehicles in a ditch.
