Oh, and the hybrid model? It was tapped by iSee Cars as the ‘Best Hybrid SUV’ that you can buy used. So what’s behind its win? Well, according to iSee Cars, the Highlander’s high rankings can be attributed to its long-term reliability, low depreciation, and high safety ratings from the National Highway Transit Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The Toyota Tundra and the Toyota Tacoma stole the show
The Toyota Highlander wasn’t the only Toyota model to show up on iSee Car’s list of best used cars. Both the Toyota Tacoma and the Toyota Tundra appeared on the list as well. Though, that shouldn’t be much of a surprise. According to Consumer Reports, the Toyota Tundra has earned some pretty impressive reliability ratings. Older Tacoma models also earned high-reliability ratings from Consumer Reports, especially 2005 to 2015 models.

But maybe SUVs and pickups aren’t your style. Maybe you’re in the market for a used car like the Toyota Avalon. Fortunately for you, the Avalon also graced iSee Car’s list of ‘Best Used Cars.’ Multiple model years have been named a Top Safety Pick+ by the IIHS. The Avalon has earned high-reliability ratings consistently from Consumer Reports.
The ‘Best Hybrid Car’ goes to the Toyota Prius

According to JD Power, the Yaris is pretty reliable. The Toyota Yaris has also earned a five-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA. The IIHS also recognized the 2013 Yaris as a Top Safety Pick.
