The 2022 Hyundai Venue isn’t the most powerful or luxurious SUV. But for its price, Hyundai packs in a lot of value, especially in higher trim levels. Today, the Hyundai Venue is the cheapest SUV to lease. For now, you can get a new 2022 Hyundai Venue for $169 per month for 26 months with a $3,199 payment due at signing. It beats the Chevy Trax, the second least-expensive SUV to lease, which will cost you $179 a month and $4,049 at signing, or a Buick Encore, which is $199 per month, according to Cars Direct. All of these are fine SUVs that seat five and get better-than-average MPG figures. The Venue’s retail price makes it Hyundai’s least expensive SUV, with a starting price of $19,000.

Is the Hyundai Venue worth it?

The Venue is frugal to buy and own, and frugal as the cheapest SUV to lease. It gets 29 mpg in town and 33 mpg on the highway. It has a roomy cabin that with the rear seats folded can hold several suitcases in its 32 cubic feet of space. But this is an SUV that’s also built to be frugal, so that means you can’t get a heated steering wheel, power seats, or some other top-tier options. Other than that, it’s a well-optioned economy SUV that does have several great options like a useful screen, comfy seats, and several cubbies for storage.

Is the Hyundai Venue all-wheel drive?

The Hyundai Venue is not available in 2022 with all-wheel drive. But, its front-wheel drive motor pulls the Venue through most of the tough stuff. Every model has blind-spot monitors, forward collision warning, lane departure warning and assist, a driver monitor, and rear cross-traffic alert is an option on the SEL model. It has a CVT automatic that can keep the 121-horsepower engine in the sweet spot for zipping around town.

Will the 2023 Hyundai Venue get a facelift?

The Hyundai Venue is not changing for 2023, other than a few minor changes, so it should stay the cheapest SUV to lease in 2023. The Venue will get a rear occupant alert, to warn you if you left a child in the back, wireless charging in the Limited trim, and a new 4.2-inch color display replaces the old 3.5-inch black monochrome screen. One of the few changes that will make a difference, though, in 2023 the optional center console armrest is now standard.
