GM Authority was the first to report the price increase for the new 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500. The base-level trim will start at $33,195 for the Work Truck trim, including the destination and freight charges (DFC). That is $31,500 without the delivery and other fees tacked on.

The Work Truck, Custom, and Custom Trail Boss trims won’t get the refreshed interior like some other trims. These will get the same interior as the 2022 Chevy Silverado Limited, GM Authority reports.

As far as the 2022 Chevy Silverado Custom trim, that will start at $40,195 with taxes, delivery, and fees. The LT trim will start at $44,295 with the same inclusions. Jumping up, the Custom Trail Boss trim will start at $47,895.

The Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss trim starts at $53,695, making a bit of a jump from the previous Custom Trail Boss. However, the High Country trim will begin at $58,495. But wait, there’s more! The top-level trim is called the 2022 Chevy Silverado ZR2, and it starts at $66,795. When will the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 be available?

Since the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 is getting a refresh to keep up with the competition, it is no surprise that the pricing did a bit of a jump. However, the sheer amount of trim levels and options means there is a Silverado for every buyer now. Gm Authority says that the Chevy Silverado 1500 is a bit more expensive than the Chevy Silverado Limited, which is an in-between option for Chevy fans. The Limited won’t get a refresh until early next year. The 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 Limited Work Truck trim starts at $32,905 with DFC, while the Custom starts at $39,295.

Based on the information provided by the manufacturer, the online configurator for the new Silverado goes live on Jan. 5, 2022. Around Feb. 7, 2022, the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 Regular Cab and Crew Cab production is slated to begin. After that, Double Cab production is slated for Mar. 6, 2022. The first order cycle started at the beginning of Dec., which allowed dealerships to jump in and place orders.

The truck competition is heating up

In order to keep up with the competition, the Silverado needed an update. That means the interior got quite the upgrade, along with a bunch of new technology. Plus, the new Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 trim will compete with some significant names in the truck world. As ordering continues to roll out, keep an eye on the road for the new Chevy Silverado 1500 on the road. What trim will buyers be drawn to, and will the ZR2 live up to expectations?
