So you’ve decided to get into boats and have no idea where to start. Well, dear reader, you do have plenty of options. However, when it comes to the balance of flick-able fun, modularity, and jet ski-esque handling, the 2024 Sea-Doo Switch Cruise Limited might be your ticket to good times on the water, albeit for a price.

What is the 2024 Sea-Doo Switch Cruise Limited?

The 2024 Sea-Doo Switch Cruise Limited is the range-topping Switch pontoon in the model’s lineup. That means the Cruise Limited adds refinement and tech to the modular, easy-to-pilot, 21-foot Switch platform. With a standard touchscreen, navigation, BRP audio, and a large swim platform, the Cruise Limited is a capable cruiser.

However, the revolutionary tri-hull pontoon is a point of contention among some traditionalists. The lack of a steering wheel, traditional throttle selector, and outboard motor tend to put off purists. Still, I found the handlebar and jet ski controls responsive. Frankly, I found spinning the boat, changing direction, and docking much easier than a typical pontoon

The 2024 Sea-Doo Switch Cruise Limited is the brand’s new range-topper for the Switch lineup of modular pontoon boats. As such, the refined trim level offers many pros over previous models and lesser Switch models.

  • Modularity for quick adjustments on the deck
  • Standard 10.25-inch touchscreen, 7-inch Garmin navigation unit, and BRP audio
  • 230-horsepower Rotax 1630 ACE engine makes spirited boating and towing a breeze
  • Intelligent Braking and Reverse system (iBR) stops and changes direction in a snap
  • New battery-kill switch mitigates flat batteries
  • LinQ accessories like an 11.4-gallon cooler and swim step add refinement
  • MSRP includes the price of a trailer

Of course, no watercraft is perfect, and the Switch Cruise Limited is no different.

  • No dedicated rear entry could be problematic for low-mobility passengers
  • Getting on plane can be a bit tricky
  • One color option could feel limiting for some fans

The 2024 Sea-Doo Cruise offers a 170-horsepower or 230-horsepower Rotax engine. On the other hand, the Cruise Limited sticks with the 230-horsepower option as standard. Consequently, the Cruise 230 will hit around 44 mph on glassy waters.

Further, the Switch Cruise Limited is sure-footed at speed, almost instigating with its handlebar controls and iBR. Paired with the LinQ system on the stern, the Cruise Limited will tow a tuber with ease.

As long as boaters follow state laws, Sea-Doo says the Switch comes with all the necessary lighting to ride the waves at night. Better yet, the Switch Cruise Limited includes adjustable lighting that encourages low-light fun.

How much is a 2024 Sea-Doo Switch Cruise Limited?

The all-new 2024 Sea-Doo Switch Cruise Limited starts at $50,999 before transportation and prep prices. However, fans will be delighted that the Limited’s base price includes a trailer

While the 2024 Sea-Doo Switch and Switch Cruise Limited might be controversial among pontoon purists, its modularity, ease of use, and price make it a solid option for newer boaters, regardless of package.
