After a long hiatus, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer returned in 2022. Before it was the full-size luxury SUV it is today, the Grand Wagoneer was a big SUV based on the “SJ” generation of the Jeep Wagoneer. You could call it a precursor to the modern era of the full-size luxury SUV that began with the Lincoln Navigator and Cadillac Escalade. The Grand Wagoneer name made a brief return, essentially as a trim for the 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Then it went away for 29 years.

The new Jeep Grand Wagoneer is a serious luxury SUV that competes not only with its American rivals from Lincoln and Cadillac, but also goes up against European luxury SUVs like the Land Rover Range Rover, Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class, and BMW X7.

So, how much can car shoppers expect to pay for a fully loaded version of the 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer?

2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer trim level comparison

The 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer has a base price of $91,945. Power comes from a turbocharged inline-six engine rated at 510 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission and a standard four-wheel drive system. It returns 14 city/20 highway/17 combined mpg, according to the EPA.

The base Grand Wagoneer is exceptionally well-equipped with standard features like distinctive front and rear fascias, setting it apart from the regular Wagoneer, a black contrast roof, 20-inch machined aluminum wheels, a Quadra-Lift air suspension system with semi-active damping, a hands-free power liftgate, power deployable running boards, premium Nappa leather seats, heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats, a heated steering wheel, power-folding third-row seats, four-zone automatic climate control, a 12-inch touchscreen display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a McIntosh 19-speaker audio system, and the latest safety tech.

The Obsidian model adds a dark appearance package and more luxury features. It starts at $104,440. Standard features include black exterior and interior trim, 22-inch black wheels, adjustable roof-rail crossbars, Palermo leather-trimmed seats, a front console cooler, a second-row center console, upgraded second-row seats with a power tilt and slide feature plus ventilation, a front passenger interactive display, a digital rearview mirror, a suede headliner, an upgraded McIntosh 23-speaker audio system, traffic sign recognition, and drowsy driver detection.

The Series III trim, starting at $112,595, turns up the luxury of the Grand Wagoneer. It has 22-inch polished aluminum wheels, premium quilted Palermo leather seats available in three colors, a rear-seat monitoring camera, natural walnut wood interior accents, the Active Driving Assist semi-autonomous driving system, and night vision with pedestrian and animal detection.

In every trim of the Grand Wagoneer, the long-wheelbase Grand Wagoneer L costs an extra $3,000.

What’s included in the 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Series III Obsidian?

The Series III Obsidian trim takes the luxurious Series III trim and adds the Obsidian appearance package. This includes 22-inch black wheels, gloss black exterior accents, and black interior trim. In the regular Obsidian trim, you can only get black seats. But the Series III Obsidian has the same three interior color options as the Series III.

This is the most expensive trim of the 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, with a starting price of $114,190.

Accessories and add-ons for the Grand Wagoneer large luxury SUV

You can still add some options to the top trim of the Grand Wagoneer.

Every paint option except for Bright White costs an extra $695. The 2nd-Row Seating Group ($595) makes it an eight-seater with a bench second-row seat rather than the standard captain’s chairs. An All-Weather Mat Package ($395) adds all-season floor mats and a cargo tray. There’s also a Rear-Seat Entertainment Group ($2,595) that brings two 10.1-inch screens to the back seats with Amazon Fire TV built-in. Finally, a Heavy-Duty Trailer-Tow Package ($1,370) brings black tow hooks, heavy-duty engine cooling, a removable rear tow hook, a trailer-brake controller, and trailer-hitch zoom.

When you add every possible option to the Jeep Grand Wagoneer Series III Obsidian, it costs $121,840. That includes the $2,000 destination fee that applies to all Grand Wagoneer models.
