The Honda Civic Hatchback is part of a shrinking class of compact hatchbacks. It’s a reliable and efficient compact car with a bigger cargo hold than its sedan counterpart, enhancing its practicality. It primarily competes with the hatchback variants of the Mazda3 and Toyota Corolla.

One of our favorite things about the Civic Hatchback is its affordability. Even when fully loaded with premium features, it retains a reasonable price tag within reach of a wide range of buyers. So, let’s look at the cost of the Honda Civic Hatchback and what you can expect to pay for a fully loaded model.

Focusing just on the Civic Hatchback model, we aren’t including the sedan variants or the high-performance Civic Type R for our purposes.

The entry-level 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback LX

The 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback has a starting MSRP of $24,950. That gets you the base LX trim. Power comes from a 158-hp four-cylinder engine mated to a CVT automatic transmission.

Standard features include 16-inch alloy wheels, 60/40 split-folding back seats, automatic climate control, push-button start, and LED headlights. The standard infotainment system has a 7-inch screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and one USB port.

The standard Honda Sensing safety tech suite bundles features like automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and traffic sign recognition.

The stylish Honda Civic Hatchback Sport starts at $26,350. It adds a sporty appearance package with 18-inch alloy wheels, gloss black mirrors, and matte black upper window trim. Additional standard features include Sport and ECON drive modes, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an eight-speaker audio system, sport pedals, and paddle shifters. Additionally, a six-speed manual transmission is optional.

The EX-L trim is where the 180-hp turbocharged engine becomes standard. Starting at $28,650, this trim level includes leather seats, heated front seats, remote start, a one-touch power moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels, and blind-spot monitoring.

What’s all included in the 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring?

The top Sport Touring trim of the 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback starts at $31,450. It has a sporty aesthetic similar to the Sport trim, plus dual exhaust finishers and LED fog lights. The turbo engine is standard and available with a CVT or manual transmission.

In addition to the premium features you get in the EX-L trim, the Sport Touring model has a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, power front seats, rear USB ports, parking sensors, a wireless charging pad, and a 9-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

A few additional options available include four premium paint options for $455 (Sonic Gray Pearl, Smokey Mauve Pearl, Platinum White Pearl, Boost Blue Pearl), black alloy wheels ($1,708), an HPD Package ($799) with a rear spoiler, HPD badging, and a front lip, and an All Season Protection Package II ($367).

When you add up all of the above plus the $1,095 destination fee, the price of a loaded Honda Civic Hatchback comes to $35,937.

Is a fully loaded Civic Hatchback worth it?

It’s a little hard to recommend spending more than $35k on a Honda Civic that’s not a Type R. However, the starting price of the Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring is quite reasonable. Overall, the entire Honda Civic model range delivers an excellent bang for the buck, including the top trim levels.
